Recap: From 7 Cities Sharks/Nuthouse Battle League, in the face of the loud, rambunctious gun bars and aggressive punchlines from Murda, Ave uses a more subtle mix of fiery punches, piercing name flips, rampant boasts and lofty similes to take first couple of rounds for the win, before a more potent and haymaker-lit turn from Murda in the 3rd allows him to avoid the shutout.

Verdict: Ave (W) 2-1

Swamp defeats Murda

Recap: Still teetering on the edge of losing some of these smaller league battles with his near slip-ups and lack of preparation, in this 1-rounder from Bars Over Bricks Battle League, Swamp survives yet another near choke and with just enough juicy personals, head-ringing gun bars and gritty punchlines gets past the rambunctious and wordplay-lit, but slightly less versatile and less consistent stylings of Murda.

Verdict: Swamp (W) 1-0

Sheed Happens defeats Murda


Recap: As often as we hear the phrase ‘He’s different!’, it certainly applies to Sheed Happens, who’s steely when need be, unorthodox, cadence-flipping, buttery flow certainly makes him a standout in a sea of formulaic, gun-bar happy rappers. Still, here against the ever bullish, oft-punch heavy and aggressive Murda (solid throughout except for a couple of minor slip-ups) at URL’s UM4, Sheed and his fellow Maryland opponent would put up a competitive fight with Sheed’s often incredulous wordplay and dynamic punch game, coupled with an energetic performance that matched his thrifty polemics allowing him to edge rounds 1 and 2 for the win before a debatable 3rd.

Verdict: Sheed Happens (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Sheed Happens – “Tell yo nosey ass neighbors to go inside, before I spin back with the stick…close ya blinds!”

Stumbles defeats Murda


Recap: A couple of unforced errors in round 2 proves that he still needs to work on his prep game. But besides that, in what was a competitive, witty at times and raucous battle on both sides, it’s the more consistently hitting, slick-talking, storytelling/name flip-rich and gritty Stumbles to takes round’s 1 and 3 over Murda to win this URL App exclusive battle.

Verdict: Stumbles (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Stumbles – “You could lie if you want, my real name David, I was sent to die!”

NXT defeats Murda


Recap: In an animated battle that was littered with plenty of mayhem, mocking personals, gritty punchlines/wordplay and stifling name flips, the more consistently-lit NXT delivers enough heat to take both of the opening rounds of this competitive URL 3-rounder and get the win over a mostly solid Murda, before a 3rd round debatable.

Verdict: NXT (W) 2-1

Favorite line: NXT – “I would think that your team wiser, 6 feet, behind a fake killer, it’s a police lineup!

Rich Fetti defeats Murda

Recap: From Bars Over Bricks Battle League, the bars were there, but for Murda so were the bricks (i.e. slip-ups) as in a 1-rounder littered with gritty punchlines, fierce name flips, piercing gun bars and rigid name flips/wordplay from both sides, the no missteps, cleaner-flowing Rich Fetti gets the win.

Verdict: Rich Fetti (W) 1-0

Murda defeats King H

Recap: One would expect a guy who names himself ‘Murda’ to talk about plenty of…murder. And with a gang of raucous 4-bar punches, graphic strings of mayhem, fiery gun bars and flippant personals, B-more’s Murda lives up to his name with more than enough consistently hard-hitting bars (esp. during an epic round 1) to beat back a gritty, but much less nuanced and underwhelming till the 3rd round King H.

Verdict: Murda (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Murda – “Battling this little nigga got me grip type hot, ‘cuz I’m the reason ya shit might drop…bitch, you the reason might not!”

Murda defeats Drugz

Recap: In this DMV vs. Baltimore 1-rounder from Pit Fights Battle League, an aggressive Drugz showed off his pen with a versatile and fiery turn of roundhouse heat, witty personals and fierce punchlines. But assisted by his opponent struggling a bit with his flow, yet also equipped with a gang of bruising set-ups, steely wordplay, soul-reaching gun bars and some spicy personals/name flips, it’s Murda who ends up earning the vic here.

Verdict: Murda (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Murda – “I’m not playing, it’s way simple, put blood in they mouth, turn that glass jaw into a stain window!”

Murda defeats Bubba Forde

Recap: Gotta love it when a couple of big dudes go at it. Bubba Forde and Murda staying aggressive throughout this PG with the righteous shoulder bumps, stickly gun bars, plenty of mayhem and bruising punchlines. But after a shortened round 1 by the longtime Baltimore vet that was handily beat by a raucous, name-flip friendly and punch-heavier Forde, Murda increases his rounds with a spiteful barrage of rambunctious punchlines (esp. during a crazy 2nd round), some fierce wordplay and stinging heat to edge the latter two rounds for the win.

Verdict: Murda (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Murda – “I ain’t fronting, I’ll spark and sit em, I’m throwing rounds, the trigger I hold it down, all commitment!”

Snake Eyez defeats Murda

Recap: Gritty 3-rounder from Pit Fights Battle League finds the visiting Snake Eyez get busy with a gang of bruising/mocking personals, spicy set-ups/punchlines and flexing street missives in a condensed effort that manages to beat back, in each round, a pretty solid, raucous and punch-lit at times, but not as consistently hitting Murda.

Verdict: Snake Eyez (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Snake Eyez – “I got a youjg nigga, with a blue face, he’ll bust a shot for me, I’m talking no more than a buck, everybody could get a bag like it’s Dollar Tree!”

Murda defeats Rolla

Recap: From Pit Fights Battle League, gritty and aggressive 3-rounder between Murda and Rolla sees the latter’s hardbody punches, mocking personals and frequent bouts of mayhem amass enough heat to take both of the opening rounds for the win against a condensed and raucous, but until round 3, not quite as consistently hitting opponent.

Verdict: Murda (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Murda – “Go stainless steel, he don’t bang for real like dry humping!”

M. Ciddy defeats Murda

Recap: Never heard of Murda before watching this battle, thus couldn’t help but think it’d be an easy vic for M. Ciddy with his experience and especially after all the (“I’ll lay your ass flat like Nicole Ritchie”) fire he was spitting in his round 1. But out of nowhere Murda took his turn and came with straight heat, delivering aggressive (“I can cut you with spoons and bust your head with an over mitt”) bars with rapid precision to make it a pretty good and competitive battle. With both coming kind of weak in the middle round, it wasn’t until the 3rd that M. Ciddy was able to step it up, separate himself with some all-too-wicked (“Spark clap, give him all dat like Amanda Bynes”) bars and name schemes with potent deliveries and execution to grab the win.

Verdict: M. Ciddy (W) 2-1
