Recap: From Taveova Battle League, all Danny Myers here as for 3 rounds the Bar God’s aggressive combo of raucous gun bars, graphic mayhem with the set-up/punchlines, steadfast name flips, boastful street raps and too cold schemes handily beat back an earnest, but mostly subpar effort from Gutta.
Verdict: Danny Myers (W) 3-0

Recap: In what was essentially a practice run, Ave uses a barrage of fierce name flips, wicked punchlines and a load of wit to make short work of a confident throughout, but mostly subpar Gutta in this 1-rounder from CGBL Rap Battle League.
Verdict: Ave (W) 1-0
Favorite line: Ave – “I tried to cancel, talking my gerbil died of cancer or baby shitted and every store in my city out of pampers!”
Recap: Dishing way better material than his opponent, damn if this recap wasn’t prescribed for a clear vic for O-Red. But then the unthinkable happens…Red chokes and never gets his lines back. And for a longstanding battler like O-Red to not even be able to freestyle, use a mix-tape verse or even recycle bars he’s used before is…well sad. Especially in this case as a uber-confident (“The silencer on O-Red, he’s like ‘tsk-tsk-tsk‘..like the stove ain’t working!”) , but mostly subpar and reach-heavy Gutta takes away a win he clearly had no business receiving. But hey, hopefully Red’s BBQ plate was satisfying even if this battle wasn’t.

Favorite line: O-Red – “That’s Gutta Gutta, I’m gutter, Gutta, I used to hustle butter, Block nigger, known for the grams before your mother mother!”
Recap: Deftly punching back-to-back-to-back like her life depended on it, 40 B.A.R.R.S. takes down all-comers, even opponent Gutta’s family members when she wasn’t spouting fire wordplay, piercing personals, braggadocios zingers and swinging gun bars during this 1-rounder from Premier Rap Battle League. The loud and raucous Gutta, even if he got off to a slow start what with a Lil Mama obsession in the beginning of his round, still managed to keep things entertaining with some hot punches/performance bars here and there, but with such a topsy-turvy run overall, stood no chance of beating back 40’s more consistently spicy round.

Favorite line: 40 B.A.R.R.S. – “Y’all got Premiere’s front man like he got his bars up?, well it’s like I’m trying to gentrify the hood when I give your up and coming star bucks [Starbucks]!”
