Recap: From Our Society Battle League, a dope 1-rounder between battle vet C3 and rising newcomer Mallorei X. The former dishing out a spicy mix of gritty punches, sizzling wordplay/schemes, solid personals and flexing name flips/gun bars during her turn. While Mallorei X, aggressive from jump, matched her energy with a gang of righteous darts, rugged struggle bars, hard-hitting punchlines, searing name flips and piercing gun lines/street talk. A close one that would’ve been worth a 3-rounder, it’s the slightly more consistent and haymaker-lit Mallorei X who takes the win.

Verdict: Mallorei X (W) 1-0

Recap: From Takeova Battle League, a 3-round judged battle between Mallorei X and Hope Trilly goes the latter’s way as Hope’s variety of sturdy name flips, hard-hitting personals, fly wordplay, rigid gun bars and gritty punchlines, combined with her opponent’s often pedestrian raps and struggles with her flow in both of the early rounds allow Trilly to gain the win. And while Mallorei X’s formidable struggle bars and hard punches would earn her a debatable 3rd against Hope’s steady hitting darts, by then it’d be too late.

Verdict: Hope Trilly (W) 2-1

Yunus defeats Mallorei X

Recap: From OSBL, the irony of Yunus announcing that he’s a virgin midway through his raps while noted ex-virgin Jazz The Rapper hosted this 1-rounder wasn’t lost here. That said, a pretty dope and competitive bout between the aforementioned PG County battler and an aggressive, boastful-punching and gun bars a-blazing Mallorei X stayed lit throughout. But at the end it’s Yunus’ boatload of fiendish schemes, gritty punches, a fly rebuttal and sturdy wordplay/similes that edges him the win.

Verdict: Yunus (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Yunus – “I’ll bomb on anti-heroes team, now they the suicide squad!”
