B. Magic and Kush Cloud [DEBATABLE]

Recap: The Trap NY presents a dope punch-fest between Kush Cloud (can we get him some more plates, please?) and B Magic with the former unleashing a boatload of nifty punches, piercing name flips/personals and slick (“Built your name on Street Status, just to die on Ave when it counted the nost!”) wordplay that added up to Cloud taking the 2nd round after a debatable 1st and leading things going into the 3rd. The final round, however, would serve as yet another exercise in quality vs. quantity as Cloud would deliver an overall solid, but incredibly longwinded turn that got more and more tedious as it went on. And that elongated run by Kush would easily get overrun by a much shorter, but highly efficient and punch/name flip turn by Magic, allowing the St. Louis vet to take the round and score a debatable.

Verdict: Debatable

Favorite line: B Magic – “I’ll push you in the air, past the sky Cloud, Anthony Davis, I’m connected wherever eyebrow [I brow]!”

Bonus defeats Kush Cloud

Recap: The TrapNY hosts a 3-rounder that sees Bonus use a host of fiery name flips, rambunctious gun bars and rapid punchlines to beat back the slick talk and nifty wordplay of a competitive, but altogether overwhelmed Kush Cloud.

Verdict: Bonus (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Bonus – “You piss me off more than when you trying to get pussy and the baby won’t go to sleep!”

Krucial Ken and Kush Cloud [DEBATABLE]

Recap: In this 3-round battle from Crown of Tha South Battle League, a punch-heavy Kush Cloud and a mayhem-driven Krucial Ken split the first round, before Ken spout’s more rapid (“If any nigga from your clique defend you, I’ll throw flame, I got that ‘ol flame like me and my ex-bitch rekindled!”) heat in the 2nd to back a nice and competitive, but slip-up stained Kush in the 2nd to take the lead. However, despite another slight hiccup, the still punchline swinging Kush dishes just enough nifty haymakers to out-rap what was a mostly pedestrian turn from his opponent, thus making this one a draw in the end.

Verdict: TIE

Favorite line: Kush Cloud – “Why use aggression to kill, when my character’s only charismatic [carry these matic’s]!”
