Recap: Making an out of the blue appearance in a 1-rounder on iBattleTV, JC still leaves his mark, using a consistently hitting barrage of dismissive personals, killer Godbody bars and flexing punchlines/similes to beat back a solid and gritty, but nowhere-near-as-flashy turn from King Jables.
Verdict: JC (W) 1-0
Favorite line: JC – “I know that may seem worse, but your whole intro into battle rap was ass-backwards, a breeched birth!”
Recap: From iBattleTV, overall a solid showing equipped with resident wit and some heavy punches from King Jables. That said, this one was pretty one-sided as Loso’s frenzied wordplay, stinging name flips, rigid Christian-themed darts and brazen set-ups/punchlines/personals were consistently lit enough to take all 3 rounds for the win.
Verdict: Loso (W) 3-0
Favorite line: Loso – “They make you battle for free and I still think you’re overpriced!”
Recap: Competitive 1-rounder from iBattleTV between Real Sikh and King Jables, while featuring your usual assortment of rousing punchlines, boastful darts and ringing mayhem, goes Sikh’s way as the New Jersey up-n-comer’s added ability to display some wit and alter his flow for some nice rapid-fire schemes as well as Jables one too many dry spots and over-reliance on name flips that didn’t always score, gave Sikh a close win.
Verdict: Real Sikh (W) 1-0
Favorite line: Real Sikh – “You from Kansas, I ain’t gotta spray him with a pound, fuck a gun, I’ll whip a tornado at your house!”
Recap: A bit reach-prone at times, but still a hella dope performance by a (“One leave ya cheek, this bum be deceased, no Amish tradition, but y’all see Rum spring a [Rumspringa] leak!”) punch-heavy King Jables gets beat a superior showing by Rum Nitty who along with dishing fluorescent gun bars, scores a gang of more intricate {“Stupid haircut that you got, gonna make me chase you out the spot, or gun butt you with the Glock, the rebuttal gonna make your bangs [Bangz] go off the top!”) punches, some fiery name flips and a ridiculous amount of visceral darts to earn the 30 in what was still a competitive 3-rounder from iBattle.
Verdict: Rum Nitty (W) 3-0
Favorite line: Rum Nitty – “I hit heads [Bwoh!], whoever told you I misled [missed lead] gave you the wrong idea!”
Recap: Impressive showing by Drugz, who for 3 rounds brings a boatload of heated artillery from his noted ‘Gun Show’, yunno, visceral mayhem, fire 4-bar set-ups, lofty punchlines/personals.storytelling and of course, a load of righteous gun bars to unload on King Jables and after a debatable 1st round, beat back his solid and aggressive throughout, but not-quite-as-nice opponent in the latter two rounds and win this iBattleTV matchup.
Verdict: Drugz (W) 2-1
Favorite line: Drugz – “…bet things were going good on the job, then they gave him one of them late night shifts all to himself….shit went haywire, he call the bell(???), customers complaining, he put all the back pain relief medicine on the bottom shelf!”
Recap: iBattleTV matchup between King Jables and Steams proves to be witty (esp. on the side of KJ), punch-heavy, name flip savvy and loaded with mayhem. A more consistently nice and intricate (“Make a move or I wish you’d flex, the C’s will drop J and cables is what you’ll be hooked to next!”) Steams takes round 1, before a vigorous, flow-centric and haymaker aplenty Jables comes back and easily takes a 2nd round that was even more solidified by a Steams choke. Tied going into the 3rd, both battlers came with even more rigid punchlines and some dope wordplay. And while Jables was a little more versatile his bars, a slightly more consistent Steams came hard with enough heat to make this one a draw.
Verdict: TIE
Favorite line: King Jables – “Ypu know he don’t travel, this clown runs his own league, hosts his own battles, like round 1 it’s on me!”
