Recap: A few bouts with slippage cost him the 1st round. But assisted by a gang of killer rebuttals, a bunch of gritty punchlines/gun bars and some hard-hitting freestyles, Chef Trez gets his shit together and gathers himself enough in the latter rounds to take them both and beat back a what started off as punch-worthy, but over time slackened effort from Eddy I. here in this 3-rounder from IBattleTV.

Verdict: Chef Trez (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Chef Trez – “Fast-rapping bitch, let him tell it he the wildest nerd, well he could go from Eddy I to Eddie Murphy…and get a whole clip with a thousand words!”

Recap: From KOTD’s Grand Prix tournament, plenty of good shit from Eddy I., who with a boatload of fierce gun bars and versatile punchlines, gave himself a nice shot at winning. One wrinkle tho: his opponent happened to be Xcel. And with the Team Homi mercenary getting extra spicy with the wordplay/name flips, spouting some off-the-dome shiners and flexing with a studious and rim-rocking punch game, it’s Jason who moves on to the next round with a well-earned 30.

Verdict: Xcel (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Xcel – “You is a young goat, it’s just not your time, you Lebron with the headband!”
