Recap: Sporting a steady gang of hard-hitting (and well-themed) personals to go along with a boatload of feverish, but still potent punchlines and boastful barbs, Emerson Kennedy does enough to beat back the righteous/aggressive wordplay from a pretty solid Jay Lopez in this close 1-rounder from Underground Battle League LLC.

Recap: I know that he hasn’t always had the most amicable relationship with the URL, but count me amongst those surprised seeing Brixx Belvy doing a PG so late in his battle rap career. Nonetheless, against the Espanol-tinged stylings of Jay Lopez, the two put forth a goodie. A competitive match laced with plenty of spicy punchlines, nifty wordplay, boastful barbs and righteous zingers especially on the part of Lopez, who would combine all of them to take the battle in a slightly more consistently hitting 3rd round.
