Recap: In this 1-rounder from The Riot, while Rio Nkosi’s OG stylings and righteous punches got better during the second half of his round, altogether the ATL battler’s gritty raps still didn’t maintain near enough heat to keep up with Chef Trez’s more consistently piercing punchlines, hitting personals and stifling wordplay/set-ups.

Recap: In this 1-rounder from The Word Sport Battle Groundz, Rio Nkosi raps twice as longer as his opponent and kicks a gang of gritty bars to go along with a mix of rigid personals. But a mostly subpar showing from Rio in addition to a brazen and condensed Tay Roc taking Nkosi to task with bountiful blasts of mayhem and stifling gun bars/punches, gives the Cave Gang capo a handy win.

Recap: Well, never let it be said that Rio Nkosi wasn’t the first person to pull out a sword during a rap battle. Other than that not much to see here as a seemingly exasperated at times, but righteous and punch-lit all the way through Jey The Nitewing withstands 3 rounds of longwinded, subpar rhymes from an opponent who might be better off sticking with the conscious rap scene than battling.
