Recap: Don Marino scores this one about right, using flexing personals, lofty gun bars, stinging name flips and a boatload of fiery punchlines (esp. during a spitfire round 2) to come from behind, take the latter two rounds and beat back a research-heavy, but after spazzing with fire/witty punches and personals in the first round, very inconsistent Jonny Storm.

Recap: A debatable 2nd and 3rd round, forces this one to come down to the 1st where Jonny Storm spit about twice as long as his opponent Tone Montana did and easily took the round (and win) with way more spitfire punches and a couple of (“Your girl be sucking my dick, watch who you French Montana!”) haymakers.

Recap: Some hard (JS: “One soft thrown punch will leave your jawbone crushed, you’ll go to sleep, wake and see your kids all grown up!”; BC: “‘Pop’, ‘Pop’ Jonny’ll stop drop and call cops, this off top and I put that on my bald spot”) bars and nice performance lines from both sides makes this matchup between Jonny Storm and Bill Collector a lot closer than you’d think after just one look. Still, it’s Jonny Storm’s versatility, more consistent flow and richer personals that gets him rounds one and three as well as the win.

Recap: Against an always punch-heavy Jonny Storm in this 3-rounder from HomegrownBGCT, an uber-confident Cortez spazzes while getting lit for the entire battle with a gang of nasty personals, artful boasts/name flips, flexing wordplay/heat and righteous 4-bar setups/punchlines. And after the two would split the first two rounds, Tez saving his best, haymaker-drenched round for the 3rd would allow him to overcome another solid showing from Storm and earn the win.

Verdict: Cortez (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Cortez – “What you fuck say in the 1st round, that we been tracking dude, nigga, no one asked for you, how the fuck you gave me the rou-a-round when my career is overlapping you?!”

Recap: Despite some indirect bars here and there and helped a bit by Charron dishing a wide load of Mexican jokes on a guy who’s Dominican (granted in a past battle against Forkfarm, Charron did the same thing as far as mistaken identity goes, but he also had a shitload of other noteworthy punches to stand out there), after the two split the first two rounds, a more versatile, steady with the heat, schemes/personal-heavy and freestyle/punchline-savvy Jonny Storm outlasts his opponent in the deciding 3rd round for the win.

Verdict: Jonny Storm (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Jonny Storm – “I didn’t sleep on this kid, but I’m sure Michael Jackson did!”

Jonny Storm defeats Dizaster

Recap: Granted, one too many eyebrow jokes from Jonny Storm in this Grind Time battle versus Dizaster. But with Diz choking away his 3rd round to go along with a sharper lyrically, equally potent with the personals and more versatile showing that included a classic and flawless, rapping-over-a-beat performance from Jonny in the final round, after two debatable rounds (which certainly defies the comments section, but whatever), Storm gets this one in the end.

Recap: Consistently going hard after opponent Real Deal with a barrage of stifling punchlines, dope personals, stereotypical, but potent white-boy jokes/themes and some off-the-dome heat, Jonny Storm is able to best a so-so effort from Real Deal in each round and catch a 30 in this 3-rounder from Grind Time.
