Stylez and Cable Guy [Debateable]

Recap: Cable Guy and Stylez go at it in this PG matchup that featured plenty of fiery gun bars as well as some nice wordplay here and there to make the match competitive throughout. However, with a boatload of very average lines and pedestrian bars/schemes from both battlers, this battle turns out to be less than satisfying when compared to the hunger you’re used to seeing in most PG battles. So despite a pretty-basic-in the-first and taking-too-long-to-get-to-the-punch Cable Guy getting reduced to toast by his opponent’s ill stream of frenzied (“Glock 40 by the waistline with the beam, I got a laser disc, shit it shocked me when I shoot, it got a taser grip!”) gun bars in the first, before Styles delivers a huge miscue with his ‘Bret Hart died in the ring’ line and cutting his 2nd round short to defeat any chance of winning that round to a more wordplay and scheme-heavy Cable Guy. 3rd round exemplified the entire battle with Stylez dishing just enough of that gritty, street shit to even the score against what was a hot-n-cold turn by Cable Guy.

Verdict: TIE

Favorite line: Cable Guy – “You running around, think you tough with some camera crew?!, well nigga I got news for you!”

Presidential Dubz defeats Stylez

Recap: Spilling with confidence and performing (he even brought a mop out) righteously throughout his 3 rounds with hardbody punchlines, boastful set-ups and a nifty mix of fiery name flips as well as some feelgood personals, Presidential Dubz outshines a pretty solid in his own right Stylez to take this 3-rounder from We Go Hard.

Verdict: Presidential Dubz (W) 3-0

Favorite line:  Presidential Dubz – “One hit will have him rocking on cam like Jada reaction!”

Stylez defeats Steams

Recap: So what if he seems to be another PG battler built in the mold of Tsu Surf, as seen here Stylez’ still got plenty heat for that ass. Against the ever competitive (“Fabio, No!, I’mma pop the bottle like ENJ and put styles on you…”) Steams, newcomer Styles displays a roundhouse of hard-hitting bars with confident (“This ass-whooping worse than a booking, I don’t fear Steams, open the window while I cook him, I’ll air Steams!”) swag and precise execution. Steams stayed in the match (“Tell bird chest I’m bringing the eagle so put that hawk away”) through the 2nd round, but some late stumbles and Steams continued dope personals, punchlines and schemes was just too much to overcome.

Verdict: Stylez (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Styles – “Slightly after a few battles Steams and Prezzy was buzzing, [till] I let this llama bake and a sucka relate like first cousins”

Moneyy defeats Stylez

Recap: Early Moneyy and Stylez (apparently they went to the same high school too) put on a nice battle for a crowd of Brooklyn rhyme fiends. Intense and competitive throughout, it’s Moneyy who comes out on top with better punches, schemes and wordplay, while Styles (tho the “twin .32’s…hit his Nintendo with this .64” line was fire) relied on too many name flips, went for angles that didn’t work and wasted too many bars on other rappers instead of his opponent.

Verdict: Moneyy (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Moneyy – “Y’all Camera Gang, well there won’t be no HD when that cannon [Canon] go flash!”
