Shooney Da Rapper defeats Lady J

Recap: Let’s call a spade a spade: if Shooney Da Rapper didn’t get in her own way so much, what with all the stunbles and chokes over the years, she’d easily be in the Top 10 on the female battler’s side. But it is what it is. Yet, this Houston Bar Code 1-rounder against Lady J comes off as another reimnder of how nice Shooney is with the pen. And in addition to no unforced errors, Shooney would need all of it. As her Houston, Texas opponent, relying mostly on a gang of spicy name flips, would come through with a pretty solid and competitive effort. However, via a consistent variety of gritty gun bars, fiery personals, some crafty wordplay and a boatload of hard-hitting and aggressive punches, at the end of the day it’s Shooney who gets hands raised in the air.

Verdict: Shooney Da Rapper (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Shooney Da Rapper – “But she don’t rap like that, all this bitch talk about is pussy and straps, well I [hold hands up towards Lady J like a gun] got a big dick and it’ll bust in ya face, silencer on, I ain’t got nuthin’ to say!”

Casey Jay defeats Shooney Da Rapper

Recap: From Queen of the Ring, a dope 3-rounder between Shooney Da Rapper and Casey Jay features a gang of aggressive punches, sublime name flips, flippant personals, sturdy gun bars and other raucous lyrical darts that kept the bout (add to the mix a couple of fire rebuttals from Shooney) competitive throughout. However, as thoro and hitting as Shooney was for 3 rounds, it was Casey who brought a sledgehammer while upping the ante and taking it to another level. The slightly more consistent Bardashian out-punching and landing just enough more haymakers over her fellow battle rap vet to edge rounds 2 and 3 (after a debatable 1st) for a well-earned win.

Verdict: Casey Jay (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Casey Jay – “Bitch, you almost 40?, we wanted you to be the champ, finish lines to give you glory, I mean we really counted on Shoo [shoe] like inventory!”

Coffee Brown defeats Shooney Da Rapper

Recap: From URL’s Civil War 4 card, credit to Shooney Da Rapper for keeping it competitive what with her gang of searing personals, hard-hitting punchlines and solid name flips/boasts. But it’s the ever-confident Coffee Brown, aggressive throughout and flexing with a wide variety of sizzling gun bars, stifling punches, flippant name flips, piercing trap talk, rich storytelling/schemes and witty/disrespectful personals while also taking advantage of a couple of slip-ups from her opponent, who takes all 3 rounds for the win.

Shooney Da Rapper defeats Shotgun Suge (Rematch)

Recap: That ‘Ike Turner’ line by Shotgun Suge in round 2 here was so fire. And so were a lot of other punches by the NJ battle vet. But with a steady-flowing, aggressive and versatile performance that might arguably stand out as her best 3 rounds ever, this URL ‘Kings vs. Queens 4’ matchup was all Shooney Da Rapper. The NY femcee using a blistering barrage of sturdy name flips, witty/hard-hitting personals, gritty punchlines and heated gun bars to take all 3 rounds and get a surprising 30 on an opponent who for the past year and change has been on the best run of his career.

Ms. Hustle defeats Shooney Da Rapper

Recap: Nice to see Chrome 23 get its cherry popped what with Shooney Da Rapper and Ms. Hustle almost fighting on stage here. Outside of that, a clear win for Hustle as the EFB vixen took advantage of a handful of stumbles from her opponent (a common refrain from Shooney, who otherwise was pretty gritty and competitive throughout) in the latter rounds on her way to a 30, using a boatload of flippant personals, fiery gun lines, dope performance bars, piercing name flips and raucous punchlines that more than left their mark to pitch a shutout.

Verdict: Ms. Hustle (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Ms. Hustle – “Put the metal on Shoo [shoe] I’m tap dancing!”

Fonz defeats Shooney Da Rapper

Recap: A mostly competitive URL Queens vs. Kings 3 battle between Fonz and Shooney Da Rapper that was littered with brazen punches, plenty of sexual hijinks, steely name flips and greasy personals, after the two split the first of rounds (Shooney with a superb, punch-lit round 1 took the opener, while a more haymaker-rich Fonz came back to take the second round), is won by Fonz, who with a bunch of aggressive/hard-hittimg personals, fiery wordplay/set-ups and gritty/versatile bangers, handily beat back a solid, but not as potent turn by Shooney.

Verdict: Fonz (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Fonz – “Girl you got a beautiful smile, and I’m not just talking shit, but you know how you get rid of a bitch dimples?, fill her jaw with dick!”

Shooney Da Rapper defeats K Prophet

Recap: In this 1-rounder from She Go Hard, both K Prophet and Shooney Da Rapper bring an assortment of aggressive punches to keep you in tune. But it’s the more consistently brazen, name flip-lit and iller with the wordplay/personals Shooney who scores more haymakers for the win.

Verdict: Shooney Da Rapper (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Shooney Da Rapper – “Bitch, you really out here dressed like my Uncle Bobby!”

Viixen The Assassin defeats Shooney Da Rapper

Recap: Viixen The Assassin still needs to work on finishing her rounds better (or sometimes earlier) and Shooney Da Rapper’s bout with stumbles still serve as a detriment to an otherwise solid battle career, but other than that this QOTR matchup was fire. Like, all the way, with both battlers staying competitive for 3 rounds with a gang of hardbody punchlines, aggressive name-calling, scintillating personals, sizzling gun bars, rigid name flips and fiery set-ups/wordplay. Yet while Shooney gave a blazing effort throughout, it’s the more haymaker-lit (esp. during round 1) Viixen who edges each round for the women’s 30.

Verdict: Viixen The Assassin (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Viixen The Assassin – “I know it’s a fact y’all, Puerto-Rican bitches is crazy, they keep blades in they cheeks, you think I give a fuck folks?, I’ll choke this bitch out till she swallow the blade…let’s really see who cut throat [cutthroat]!”

Dre Dennis and Shooney Da Rapper [DEBATABLE]

Recap: From a Bloody Scene card, both (“Real nigga’s don’t get Loud Dre, they get money!”) Shooney Da Rapper and Dre Dennis bring the mayhem, get extra spicy with the personals and fiery with punches in this 1-rounder. But some pedestrian bars from Dre and a lack of a clean round from Shooney makes this one a draw.

Verdict: Debatable

Favorite line: Dre Dennis – “The blade left blood all over Shoo [shoe]…Lil Nas X!”

O-Red defeats Shooney Da Rapper

Recap: Even if (thanks to a consistently fiery, [“I wouldn’t fuck you by mistake, you not my Type O!”] punch/gun bar-heavy and personal/name-flip-spazzing Shooney Da Rapper dishing 3 dope rounds) it wasn’t walk in the park like his last intergender match was against Ms. Hustle, O-Red’s nifty (“.38 with the rubber grip, serial on the front of it, scratch it off before I go out, it’s on my bucket list!”) wordplay, intricate schemes, fire set-ups/name flips, righteous translations and most of all, killer personals (at his opponent and equally her husband Fettuccine20, esp. during a spitfire 3rd round) are enough to edge the 2nd, before easily taking the 3rd for a hard-earned win.

Verdict: O-Red (W) 2-1

Favorite line: O-Red – “We cool, you feel me?, but you the one I do target for shit that your boo talking, true marksman, I bust in your crib with a tool barking, Shoo [shoe] will be taken off at the door, I got new carpet!”

QB (Black Diamond) defeats Shooney Da Rapper

Recap: Whew! Not sure if it can get any more disrespectful than this as Shooney Da Rapper and QB trade the most scathing personals on sick relatives, kids, hygiene, friendship drama and vulgar sexual dalliances that all gave new meaning to insolence in battle rap. And while QB may be used to getting it back from a style she helped birth, seeing a just-as-brazen Shooney go after her gf’s dead grandma like that was still a sight to behold. A close battle that also contained some fiery punchlines and dope name flips from each battler, the more cleaner flowing, witty at times and more haymaker-lit QB wins the battle by taking each of the opening rounds, before a more condensed and bar efficient Shooney took the 3rd.

Verdict: QB (W) 2-1

Favorite line: QB – “You need God, but you won’t repent, you a slob, turn into a ho for rent, you fucked Rex, Fetti, Twork, Factor, with them kind of names she could’ve fucked around and thrown her own event!”

Recap: Fire 1-rounder between 40 B.A.R.R.S. and Shooney Da Rapper with the latter kicking an aggressive mix of bullish head-twisters and piercing name flips, while 40 came correct with a wide load of spicy punchlines, festive wordplay and fierce personals during her turn. No doubt a close one with an almost equal amount of haymakers, but a slightly more consistent and less flow-challenged 40 gets the edge here.

Verdict: 40 B.A.R.R.S. (W) 1-0

Favorite line: 40 B.A.R.R.S. – “Big metal on my waist, the metal got me sagging like Hammer’s pants, of shit go left, press this metal to her chest like a mammogram!”

O’fficial defeats Shooney Da Rapper

Recap: Witty, rigid with the name flips and solid with the punchlines/wordplay, O’fficial survives a dope, mayhem-dishing round 1 from Shooney Da Rapper, gets help from her opponent choking away the 2nd round and with a more condensed and consistent 3rd, edges this 3-rounder from Superior Entertainment Arena (S.E.A.).

Verdict: O’fficial (W) 2-1

Favorite line: O’fficial – “I already know Shoo deal, shit she works at Nike, so I’m supposed to believe she keep the knife tucked in her rhymes?, when this bitch don’t even let nigga’s cut in the line?!?”

Verdict: Bonnie Godiva (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Bonnie Godiva – “Ever since Love and Hip-Hop, all you bald-headed side hoes been acting important!”
