Eazy The Block Captain defeats John John Da Don

Recap: From Chrome 23, a highly anticipated matchup with plenty of back-n-forth between the battlers beforehand, with 3 action-packed, brazenly personal and punchline-lit rounds, Eazy The Block Captain versus John John da Don lived up to the hype. Eazy (aka ‘The Trap Bar King’) consistently brought the heat throughout the bout, not only with a plethora of gritty trap talk, but also with a gang of hard-hitting/mocking personals, boastful barbs, some gutsy wordplay and stinging punchlines. While JJDD kept it competitive with a fierce pallette of dope schemes, fiery name flips, solid punches and a boatload of piercing personals. However, one too many pedestrian bars from JJDD combined with a roundhouse, haymaker-lit round 1 by Eazy would handily give the Block Captain the opener, before a more personal/righteous, but still sublime turn by Eazy in round 2 would also hand him round 2 for the win. Round 3, despite another crazy turn by Eazy, would go JJDD’s way as the Bullpen Battle League capo turned it up on the personal front in what altogether was a fire battle.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “Nigga you tricked me, keep it a bean you ain’t do shit to get me, you were the B-side, I picked you, if you was the A-side you could’ve skipped me!”

Geechi Gotti defeats Eazy The Block Captain

Recap: Geechi: “You should’ve fucked with me, I wouldn’t have said nothing1″…damn. Granted, not the first time we’ve seen battlers go at league-owners on stage to their face, but Gotti’s righteous, Aye Verb-inspired, personal-lit and crazy 3rd (i.e. classic) was defintely one for the books. That said, even in light of a trap talk-spazzing, storytelling rich, gritty punchline/struggle bar-spewing and at times personal scoring 3 rounds, Eazy The Block Captain (whose best rounds were actually the 2nd and 3rd’s) is just going to have to accept the ‘L’ here as during each round his more consistently punching and versatile flexing opp just did him one better. A confident Gotti staying on point throughout in front of n attentive Chrome 23, New Jersey crowd with a shitload of spitfire street raps, slick wordplay, gangly similes, witty punches, heartfelt ancedotes and wicked personals at both Eazy and a seemingly stunned Remy Ma to earn the 30 in a battle that more than lived up to its expectations.

Verdict: Geechi Gotti (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Geechi Gotti – “I do this shit for the haves and the have nots, when Pap punched you, we was all wondering if you didn’t have or have knots!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Dizaster

Recap: Dizaster wasn’t too surprised, openly admitting during this dope and highly entertaining Grind Time 3-rounder how ‘easy’ it is for Eazy The Block Captain to deliver hard-hitting trap talk at any time . But give the Gutta City capo his flowers anyway, especially after a surprising slip-up in round 2 assisted in costing him the round and going into the 3rd tied up after the punch-heavier Block Captain edged the opener. And what with another witty, personal-lit and rebuttal-friendly final round by Diz, things were looking a little bleak for Eazy before his 3rd. But with a wicked combo of hardbody punches, a mid-round rebuttal and a gang of sublime street/trap talk that even had the Oakland crowd buzzing throughout, it’s the more haymaker-crazy ETBC who also edges the final round for an impressive road win.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “See, they say trap bars is all I do, that’s just because, man you know what it was, trap money kept my lights on so who i thought invented electricity was the plug!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Reed Dollaz

Recap: A couple of Philly’s finest, Reed Dollaz and Eazy The Block Captain, put on a close, competitive and dope show for 3 rounds to headline the latter’s “The Trenches” card. The veteran Reed gritty, braggadocius and hardnody as ever, kept it condensed and consistent throughout with a boatload of fire punches, fiery street themes, ill personals and stinging name flips. While the ever-confident Block Captain scored with a plethora of piercing trap talk, fire name flips and personals of his own, flippant boasts, steely/righteous punchlines and buoyant gun bars. Gripping throughout in front of a Philly crowd that was all-in from the jump, after a debatable round 1, it’s the slightly more haymaker-lit Eazy TBC who edges rounds 2 and 3 for the win.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “I am not for play, I take pride in cooking up, even my pots is dishwasher safe!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Hitman Holla

Recap: From Chrome 23, Eazy The Block Captain versus Hitman Holla, and yet another battle where you can’t buy into the narratives until you witness the battle yourself. As despite the final score this bout was a lot closer than what you heard about. Indeed, long-known for having killer round 1’s, Hitman came through with another one here. The St. Louis-ATL vet spazzing with a gang of sturdy punchlines, fiery braggadocious lines and festive sport bars that made for a shitload of haymakers to the point that one couldn’t be blamed for thinking that Holla had the opener in the bag. But continuing what’s been an amazing run for the past couple of years or so and helped a bit by a few dry spots from his opponent, using a slightly more consistent barrage of gritty punches, grimy trap talk, sterling basketball references and aggressive heat, it’d be Eazy who managed to edge the 1st. Still, moving forward the battke remained close. As Holla not only came through with another turn that displayed his underrated punching ability, but may have surprised many with a couple of dope rebuttals (that he also showed off in the 3rd). Add to that some spicy personals from Hitman and the battle stayed competitive, despite Holla having a rep for underperforming in the latter rounds. But there went Eazy again, stalking the stage with yet another round of hard-hitting lyrical bangers, deep-cutting/mocking personals, flexing wordplay, witty puns and hardbody haymakers in a more condensed turn that got him the middle roumd as well. Already decided by the 3rd, the final round was more of a talking to by both battlers with the more punch-heavy Eazy taking it to earn the 30. And while mic problems on both sides and Holla whining about the crowd dominated one too many recaps on this battle. None of that (or Eazy’s current drama with URL) should get in the way of Holla putting forth a pretty solid effort overall here or the Philly rapper looking pretty unbeatable right now.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “My shooters come from Tubi because they don’t know how to act!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Big T

Recap: How Ethan Hawke said it when they asked him about his part in Training Day?: ‘I’m just here so Denzel can get his Oscar’. Really now. That’s how I felt watching this Big T versus Eazy The Block Captain battle on Philadelphia’s Battle Academy League stage. Consider that Eazy during the battle admitted to wanting a YouTube drop in lieu of being signed to a URL contract and thus having all his battles drop on the app. And with Big T shall we say not performing well of late, can you blame URL for letting the Block Captain take a break from his contract obligations to show off on his home league against an opponent who hasn’t been competitive at all lately? Not really. As for the battle itself? Pretty one-sided and an easy 30 for Eazy as the Gutta City capo dished 3 rounds of pure heat, staying on T’s neck with a boatload of gritty street raps, boastful hometown barbs, sizzling trap talk, fire personals and hard-hitting punchlines. As for T, not that it provides much comfort but at least he didn’t get bodied. The Chi-town vet, despite a gang of dry spots, using his slick punches/wordplay and witty humor to hang in there in front of an away crowd that was clearly there to root for their hometown hero. That being said, with yet another ‘L’ in the books, I’m thinking going forward that Big T might want to stick to small room battles and lower tier opps until he gets his groove back.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “See for me, this is nothing, this a resurrection of your career if you clip me, and it’s a favor I’m the Captain, I’m used to nigga’s saying pick me!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Calicoe

Recap: Continuing a sizzling run of late that has him swiftly rising up the top tier charts, Eazy The Block Captain uses a gang of witty/hardbody personals, steely life tutorials, gritty storytelling, fiery schemes/trap talk, stifling street barbs and flippant gun bars/punchlines to take both of the latter rounds and get the win in this Summer Madness 12 matchup against Calicoe. The Detroit, Michigan emcee and SM vet showing up with 3 rounds of conversationalist/analytical rhymes that were even more heavy-handed when loaded with abstract darts, nimble gems and piercing personals. But outside of an opening round by Cal equipped with enough haymakers to force a debatable, it would be Eazy’s constant shiners via a barrage of versatile and hard-hitting bars that his opponent simplky couldn’t keep up with that’d allow the Philly battler to continue his blazing win streak.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “Why does the gym feel like trap shit?, machine’ s and diet’s in my plan, cuz I put on gloves to lift weights and still found some powder on my hands!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Goodz

Recap: With Eazy The Block Captain on a hot streak of late and Swag King Goodz coming back to the big stage after a long hiatus, the two make for a highly anticipated matchup here on URL”s N.O.M.E. 12 card. And as expected the battle is a real goodie with Goodz dishing his usual assortment of boastful barbs, financial advice, snappy drug talk, nifty punchlines and mocking personals to mostly terrific effect. While a steadily aggressive Eazy TBC’s boatload of real street raps, steely angels (esp. when it came to utilizing some of his opponent’s more noted lingo against him), aggressive/gritty punches, rich similes and hard-hitting personals of his own showed why he is the most sought-after opponent for top tier battlers today. A close battle throughout that kept the Houston crowd fully engaged, it’s a more versatile and punch-heavy Eazt who takes the first two rounds for the win before a turned up Goodz edged the 3rd to avoid the 30.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “We already allowed you to call your cologne Gentlemen 30 and you never had one!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Aye Verb

Recap: After a debatable round 1 of this much anticipated URL Resolution 2 match between Ave Verb and Eazy The Block Captain, a couple of seismic, gritty, punch-heavy, personal-lit and witty rounds by Eazy in both of the latter rounds (including a round 2 classic) gives the Gun Titles general the win. Eazy, on go from jump, but still battling a habit of longwindedness (which hurt him a bit in round 1) with his rounds, really impressed with his versatility here. The Philly battler also displaying well-thought out themes, some fire schemes, getting righteous when needed and even buttoning up his usual need for trap talk a bit. And while Verb kept it competitive with a fiery and braggadocios opening round as well as a virtuous and hard-hitting at times 3rd, a mostly pedestrian middle round combined with Eazy raining down haymakers with fierce abandon, gave the St. Louis vet little chance at winning.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “You called me out nigga, I accepted, you made your muthafuckin’ bed, ‘cuz I will not lose to a nigga who take a rubberband out his braids and shakes his muthafuckin’ head!”

K-Shine and Eazy the Block Captain [DEBATABLE]

Recap: Eazy the Block Captain versus K-Shine on the Smack Volume 9 card deserves all its praises as the two put on a fire and competitive show throughout their 3 rounds. A cesspool of hard street rhymes, feening (Eazy: “I’ll get close to Shine, I got insight!”) wordplay, stinging punchlines, charismatic machismo, gripping gun bars, piercing personals and greasy name flips on both sides that coupled with Shine’s rich performance bars and Eazy’s instructional gutta talk made for a crowd-pleasing draw, this close battle comes down to a more condensed Shine edging round 1 before a more steady pounding Block Captain took round 2. The deciding 3rd round, equal on straight-laced heat and quantitative haymakers (with Eazy going a minute or so longer longer than Shine), makes this one debatable.

Verdict: TIE

Favorite line: K-Shine – “Before I had a gun, I had to be in the streets with just a star and a flag liek I’m Vietnamese!”

Chess and Eazy the Block Captain [DEBATABLE]

Recap: Proof that we can’t just be going around calling anything a ‘classic’, spitfire all the way through, Chess versus Eazy the Block Captain on the URL Summer Madness 11 stage IS A CLASSIC. Indeed, a battle drenched in haymakers with both battlers on their A-game, I dare you to find a dry spot here, much less a single bar that even bordered on being pedestrian. That’s how crazy and competitive this battle was. Chess, aggressive, versatile, steeped in some killer wordplay, rich metaphors and sublime punchlines when he wasn’t scoring with fire name flips, elite gun bars and steady heat (esp. during a classic round 1) throughout the battle, stayed on his opponent’s neck. While Eazy, speaking greasy with that grimy Philly flow and using it to spout a gang of fiery/righteous personals, captivating (“Every time I came home it was drugs on the table, had a decision, should I cross the line?, White girl in a scary movie, I fell for it every time!”) trap/prison talk, witty barbs, head-ringing struggle bars and gritty street rhymes that was at its best during a classic round 2, showed that the hard work he put into getting on that SM stage was well worth it. Nearly equal in time during each round with no slip-ups from either side, a slightly more haymaker-lit Chess takes round 1 before Eazy returned the favor in the second round. The deciding 3rd round was appropriately even money as quantitatively both battlers brought nothing but roundhouse punches in a battle that is arguably the best we’ve seen in 2021.

Verdict: TIE

Favorite line: Chess – “They couldn’t lock this in ’til they had my doe complete, the talk is different, you spoke to P, I spoke to Beasley!”

Eazy the Block Captain defeats T-Rex

Recap: From URL’s N.O.M.E. 11 card, after watching this performance, is it safe to say that a battle rapper who can combine brazen trap talk with banging street missives/punchlines like Eazy the Block Captain does, can guarantee us this version of T-Rex? Yunno, the boastful, uber-gritty, cap-dropping, back-to-back punching and gun-slinging Rex that we’ve all come to know and love? With 3 seemingly original rounds to boot? If so, I’m all for it, even if it’s only once a year (hell, Rex’s legacy would probably appreciate it too). Still, credit to Eazy for calling Rex out in the first place. They’re styles match up, Eazy has a great promo game, a win over Rex on anyone’s resume is a good look and me things Eazy knew he could bring the best out of the Harlem legend. That said, even with Rex adding some wit and spicy personals on Eazy’s gf to the mix to make it a competitive battle, Da Block Captain was just too much here, unloading on his opponent with that righteous slick talk, mocking/heavy-handed personals, fiery haymakers, graphic street narratives and steely punches/wordplay that consistently hit to take all 3 rounds (including a classic round 2) for the win.

Verdict: Eazy the Block Captain (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Eazy the Block Captain – “What’s the protocol when you got bad work?, nigga, I been through all that, bag it up the same, don’t say nothin’ ’til they complain or call back, I done took losses: bought a 7, whipped it and only bought a ball back, finger-tipped the shake in the bag ’til I got all that, I done bagged up sheetrock, I got holes where my wall at!”

T Top defeats Eazy the Block Captain

Recap: In a competitive battle that, as expected, was littered with loads of trap talk, gritty punchlines and quips on each other’s street cred, a loquacious, but still more consistently more versatile, name flip/personal-lit, witty and spicier with the set-ups T-Top takes all 3 rounds to earn the win over Eazy the Block Captain in this matchup from URL’s Super Fight card.

Verdict: T-Top (W) 3-0

Favorite line: T-Top – “You could come and fool them with all that fake hustling, talking about he was cooking as kid, yeah Eazy [Easy]..Bake Oven!”

Eazy the Block Captain defeats Danny Myers

Recap: While Philadelphia’s Eazy the Block Captain, aka ‘The Voice of the Streets’, kicked plenty of that gritty street shit and spicy punches he’s become well-known for in this Rookies vs. Vets URL battle vs Danny Myers, it’s an often unseen barrage of stellar personals that puts him over here. Going directly at Myers with shots at his prolific battle rap career, noted family drama, rap style and even adeptly twisting his parallel universe semantics for his own advantage, an also witty at times the Block Captain not only flexed his versatility when it comes to bars, but more importantly impresses enough consistent heat to overcome the usual palette of mayhem, stinging schemes/wordplay and aggressive punches from his opponent to take all 3 rounds for a victory.

Verdict: Eazy the Block Captain (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Eazy the Block Captain – “A bald head nigger with no breaks [brakes]…you a crash dummy!”

Eazy the Block Captain defeats Cortez

Recap: Rookies vs. Vets 2 matchup between Eazy the Block Captain and Cortez goes Eazy’s way as the boastful Philly rapper’s hot wordplay/name flips, more direct and hitting personals, gritty street semantics and fiery storytelling hit with enough flair to take both the 1st and 2nd rounds over a solid and versatile, but mostly par the course ‘Tez, before a 3rd round debatable.

Verdict: Eazy the Block Captain (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Eazy the Block Captain – “Nigga, you fraudulent and why we doing all this talking shit and what the fuck we got to speak about the 3rd round Cort?, my judge don’t listen to closing arguments!”

Fonz defeats Eazy the Block Captain

Recap: Gritty, street-savvy, boastful and mostly (I thought Eazy had a pretty mediocre 2nd round) competitive battle between Eazy The Block Captain and Fonz contained a gang of fire 4-bar set-ups, head-ringing mayhem, rousing struggle bars and dope punchlines. But after getting edged in the 1st round (despite a seismic bump on his opponent), Fonz, a stickler for aggression throughout any battle he participates in, backed up his bullish ways with raucous/witty punches, scintillating personals and some flexing wordplay to take the latter two rounds for the win.

Verdict: Fonz (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Fonz – “I told him I’m a threat, the acid rip the skin off the body, I’m from Cleveland, we used to seeing Bone without the Flesh!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Don Marino

Recap: In this Ultimate Madness matchup bout between Eazy The Block Captain and Don Marino, after splitting the 1st two rounds, the Block Captain’s more gritty street stories, fiery gun bars and hardbody punches/personals beat back a less versatile and mostly struggle bar oriented turn from Marino in the deciding 3rd.

Verdict: Eazy The Bock Captain (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “You did dishes?, I did dishes too, You went fishing? I was castling lines from one cell to another nigger, I went fishing too!”

Eazy the Block Captain defeats Swaggtanna

Recap: Not just relying on that real life street shit he’s known for, but also coming correct here with a boatload of mocking name flips, righteous trap talk and a gang of stinging punchlines, Eazy the Block Captain not only flexes his versatility in this 3-round, URL battle against a pretty solid and gritty Swaggtanna, but manages to dish more than enough heat (esp. during a classic 1st) to score a 30 too.

Verdict: Eazy the Block Captain (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Eazy the Block Captain – “I’ll do anything to protect my Monopoly so don’t Chance it…’cuz I’ll do another bid, the only part that I hate is intake…with the cold sandwich!”

Eazy the Block Captain defeats Stumbles

Recap: Red Dot 2 battle from URL sees Eazy the Block Captain and Stumbles unload a whole boatload of wicked street shit when they weren’t trading spicy punchlines throughout this competitive bout. And while Stumbles also stood out with his witty punches/personals, greasy gun bars, slick talk and ability to finally make it through a PG without choking (tho he did have some minor hiccups here and there), the Block Captain, firing on all cylinders (scratch a fire, but elongated 2nd round which forced a debatable) with the aforementioned heat along with some gritty trap talk, gripping prison war stories, solid personals/wordplay and dizzying name flips, is able to take the 1st and 3rd rounds for the win.

Verdict: Eazy the Block Captain (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Eazy the Block Captain – “I’m a real trapper, me and the connect got a construction deal, I get the work and he get billed after!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Dre Dennis

Recap: While an otherwise leisurely Verbal War Zone Battle on the Beats bout between Der Dennis and Eazy The Block Capatin gets highlighted by Eazy tagging-in a female emcee to drop some crazy bars in round 3, the more condensed, gritty, punch/personal-lit and slight;y less flow-challenged Block Captain’s manages to edge the first couple of rounds for the win.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain )W) 2-1

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “You skinny now, you’ll fit up in my trunk boy!”

Eazy the Block Captain defeats Reepah Rell

Recap: Yeah, he can often be indirect with the bars, but Eazy the Block Captain’s requisite gritty trap talk, real life street narratives and visceral punchlines still work to make their mark. And in this 1-rounder versus Reepah Rell, with the addition of some fiery personals, the Block Captain’s more rigid rhymes are more than enough to beat back his less potent opponent.

Verdict: Eazy the Block Captain (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Eazy the Block Captain – “It’s a lesson in every bar, I’m just trying to get y’all nigga’s reacquainted, I’m probably one of the few battle rappers who ever living every picture that I done painted, the worst part about jail is when you and your girl arguing and the system say you got one minute remaining!”

Nu Jerzey Twork defeats Eazy the Block Captain

Recap: Eazy the Block Captain’s trap talk and real life struggle (“Since I was young, I came with the cig like my mom wrote the note!”) bars usually make, as they do here, for a competitive battle. But a way more condensed, wordplay-heavy, performance-enhanced and mayhem-inducing Nu Jerzey Twork edges this 1-rounder from Gates of the Garden.

Verdict: Nu Jerzey Twork (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Nu Jerzey Twork – “I’m like Hasbro…the trouble-maker!”

Eazy the Block Captain defeats Bangz

Recap: When it comes to his raps, that real street shit, pain and struggle are topics Eazy the Block Captain can go on talking about forever. But here in this Power House Battle League 3-roudner versus a mostly unprepared and freestyle-prone Bangz, the Block Captain not only runs with his usual assortment of tricks, but also adds a pretty finite punchline game, a couple of nifty personals and some raucous name flips/gun bars to complete what overall was a pretty easy shutout.

Verdict: Eazy the Block Captain (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Eazy the Block Captain – “Send a contract, for the right price a mill will do, nigga I’ll mold something, clips full of a…I’m fucked up right now, you trying to hold something?!”

Eazy the Block Captain defeats Zeus Da God

Recap: Plenty of gritty boasts, fiery street shit, livid struggle bars, rugged name flips and fierce punchlines in this dope 1-rounder from We Go Hard between Zeus Da God and Eazy the Block Captain. However, while a little lengthy with his turn, Eazy still makes it all useful and slightly more versatile, adding spicy metaphors, rich storytelling and intrepid jail shit to an already gripping arsenal for the win.

Verdict: Eazy the Block Captain (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Eazy the Block Captain – “See, the plug trust me, so every O is 800, it’s like my credit right!”

Qleen Paper defeats Eazy The Block Captain

Recap: Splitting up his witty roasting sessions over the course of 3 rounds, while adding in some spicy personals/punchlines/name flips here and there to go along with two condensed turns, Qleen Paper manages to edge a gritty and punch-heavy at times, but also a bit elongated and redundant Eazy The Block Captain in the opening rounds to gain the win before a more amplified Eazy took the 3rd.

Verdict: Qleen Paper (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Qleen Paper – “Face shot, got his body twitching like he streaming!”

Eazy the Block Captain defeats Drugz

Recap: After Drugz puts together a phenomenal 1st round that pushes (“Do business with him on the street?, I couldn’t even fathom that, why you pack pitching and gat-toting anyway? don’t the captain of the block supposed to have nigga’s to handle that?!”) back on his opponent’s entire battle rap repertoire, Eazy the Block Captain displays plenty of mettle by refusing to wilt. Indeed, with the Philly rapper upping his gritty stylings with fiery set-ups, fierce (“Oh, you back with your team now huh?, oh that’s cool, you winning, but just like the Goonies, wasn’t fucking with they own brother in the beginning!”) personals, potent jailhouse raps and discernible ‘real rap’ bars, even with a couple of elongated rounds, thanks in part to a more pedestrian Drugz coming back to earth in the latter rounds, the Block Captain edges rounds 2 and 3 to earn the win.

Verdict: Eazy the Block Captain (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Eazy the Block Captain – “All that tough shit, nigga you can have that, but on this stage don’t let it go past that, or a real bar could go over your head…and y’all don’t gotta ask ‘Did he catch that?’!”

Eazy the Block Captain defeats Prep

Recap: Even with the taste of gun residue still in the air from Prep’s delicious (“We shooting for captain like a pick-up game!”) gun bars, a more one-themed round along with a midway and able assist from Dre Dennis hurts his cause by turning a one-on-one match into a handicap bout. That said, would Prep have won anyway without the help? Probably not. As Eazy the Block Captain’s consistently fiery (“The DMV too far, ain’t appointments for beef, we take walk-ins!”) punchlines, along with valiant and versatile bars on real street semantics and the like, gets the Philly spitter an impressive win.

Verdict: Eazy the Block Captain (W) 1-0

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Trackz

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “Nigga, you ever been through it?, theer was times when I was dead pop, I mean ya man shot, bullets glaze, leg shot, don’t gotta put no tattoo on my face to remember the body ‘cuz a real nigga already left the tear drops!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Tycoon Tax

>br />

Recap: From KLBL, with a couple of shortened rounds, not sure an otherwise solid punching Tycoon Tax took this battle as serious as his opponent did. But none of that matters to Eazy The Block Captain who used his 3 rounds here to take Tax on a trip through Gutta City that featured a gang of rigid trap talk, piercing punchlines/name flips, boastful barbs and plenty of indiscriminate mayhem to take the first two rounds for the win before a debatable 3rd.

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Artillery Da God

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “Life ain’t fair, what you not learning?, both gun’s hold 24 so after the first 48 we are not searching!”

J Krooger defeats Eazy The Block Captain

Verdict: J Krooger (W) 3-0

Swave Sevah defeats Eazy the Block Captain

Recap: Swave Sevah isn’t just bullish with his raps because he has nothing else better to do. If you listen to Swave over time you get the feeling that being a browbeat lyricist just comes out of necessity. Really. And yet another example of that is this 3-round versus Eazy the Block Captain, where Swave does everything from breaking down the authenticity of his opponent’s moniker to delivering his own unique brand of proper street ethos to spouting a gang of boastful punches/schemes to dishing witty and aggressive personals that often reeked with intimidation hijinks. Now to Eazy’s credit, the Philly rapper didn’t seem to be at all unnerved by Swave’s strong-arm tactics and stayed steady with his punches throughout the battle. But battle rap being battle rap, when it came to bar efficiency, damn if Swave didn’t kill that man.

Verdict: Swave Sevah (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Swave Sevah – “Hey yo, tell me I’m lying my nigga, look at E’s face, his teeth look like they got issues with each other…they need space!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats DB

Recap: Unbothered by the aggressive, mayhem-lit but at times witty punches from DB, Eazy The Block Captain uses a gang of piercing punchlines, some nifty wordplay and fiery gun lines/schemes to take all 3 rounds of this 3-rounder brought to you by Battle Rap Arena.

Eazy The Block Captain defeats MillionDolla Cash

Recap: Loved that ‘It’s like a season pass, this only a cash lane, who the fuck let Eazy pass?!’ line and a bunch of other piercing street missives (esp. in round 3, which he edged) tossed out by MillionDolla Cash in this gritty 3-rounder from World Battle League. However, a more consistently spicy, gun bar/trap talk-savvy and punch-lit Eazy The Block Captain with that pronounced flow that enriches his 4-bar set-ups and other worthy schemes/name flips, does enough here to take both of the opening rounds for the win.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “That .40 like a job, but in less hours I give 9 five!”

D.O.T. defeats Eazy the Block Captain

Recap: After being taken to the woodshed by a more aggressive, metaphorically (“4 niggas in one class flow, I’m about to hit you with all types of special shit!”) nice and scheme-prone Eazy the Block Captain in round one, D.O.T. returns the favor in the latter rounds, leveling his ever-rich stage performance with a constant barrage of lethal (“i got the instincts of an animal nigga, but on my plate, human remains, so now I got the instincts of a cannibal!”) punchlines, nice personals and wild (“Chopper, heavy, I might catch a hernia if I lift from the thighs”) gun bars to come from behind and take the win.

Verdict: D.O.T. (W) 2-1

Favorite line: D.O.T. – “I’ll go in my closet and search for black clothes, I’m no pedophile, but the .9 I’m touching is about 4 years old!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Firekidd

Recap: From Brooklyn Mic Club, solid display of punches from Firekidd who came with a boatload of random street missives that often landed. But in what was a close and competitive matchup throughout, a more versatile-punching, consistently gritty, witty at times and engaging with a wide series of spicy 4 bar-setups Eazy The Block Captain manages to take both of the opening rounds for the win before Firekidd edged the 3rd.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 2-1

Eazy The Block Captain defeats G. Lowe

Recap: From WBL Philly, all Eazy The Block Captain here as the PA emcee’s ability to not only kick a gang of consistently spitfire punches put him ahead, but the versatility, rigid name flips/schemes/gun bars and knack for inserting wit in his even more brazen of rhymes combines to overwhelm (esp. during a sublime 2nd round) a gritty-punching, but topsy-turvy (esp. when he was wasting bars on one of his peers on stage) G. Lowe.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “I’ll never have a Debo or Craig momemt…why?, ‘cuz I’ll just shoot the nigger!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Erie Ave Marz

Recap: Liked the way Erie Ave Marz was able to go right into some backup bars when he found himself slipping up with his written’s during the latter half of his turn. But one too many indirect punches by Marz and an Eazy The Block Captain delivering a steely display of fiery punchlines, some solid wordplay and feisty schemes gives the Norristown, PA, native the win in this 1-rounder from Traphouse Battle Leegue.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “Take your daughter and drown her in natural water, give her that Fiji!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Remedy Loco

Recap: Fire 3rd round here from Remedy Loco, but other than that a couple of lazy rounds by the Brooklyn spitter and a flashy gun bar-flexing and boastful punchline-slinging Eazy The Block Captain does more than enough in the opening rounds to get the win in this 3-rounder from Philly Coalition Battle Grounds.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “Your bitch look like Unkasa…and I ain’t gonna lie, I hit it so everytime I go to Brooklyn I dodge her!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Wu

Recap: The final score here doesn’t reflect what was essentially a one-sided affair as Eazy The Block Captain’s gang of gritty punchlines and boastful barbs easily beat back an aggressive, but mostly pedestrian-punching and opponent’s beard obsessed Wu, who only took a round here due to a choke from Eazy in the 2nd.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “Flow dope, take you on this ride like a theme park!”

Eazy the Block Captain defeats M. Swagg

Recap: Gritty and solid showing by M. Swagg in this 3-rounder from Traphouse Battle League, gets beat back by a more consistently spicy, name flip-lit, 4-bar setup nice and punchline/boastful-crazy Eazy the Block Captain in each round for the win.

Verdict: Eazy the Block Captain (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Eazy the Block Captain – “You got that Chinese store swag, yunno, your chicken lo mien [low man]!”

Eazy The Block Captain defeats Johnny Mel

Recap: When he wasn’t talking during opponent Eazy The Block Captain round’s, Johnny Mel spouts a solid freestyle game, with enough dicey personals and witty off-the-dome theatrics to edge round 2 in this 3-rounder from TIP Battles. But a versatile and gritty punching Eazy, tho a bit uneven with the bars, still manages to unleash enough haymakers in rounds 1 and 3 to get the win.

Verdict: Eazy The Block Captain (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Eazy The Block Captain – “It look like your girl got no walls, but you can’t fill it, your dick little with no balls!”
