Recap: “Every bar that I made is as sharp as a blade”, “turn white into green like incredible hulk”
…basic lines like that might’ve worked in the 90’s, but a couple of decades later you need heavy wordplay, metaphors, similes, etc. in order to hang with the big boys and as shown here 9DM isn’t equipped with any of those. That said, easy win for Bigg K…and yes that’s ‘Bigg’ with two g’s…how dare he.

Verdict: Bigg K (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Bigg K – “I’m from Shark city where the goons ride and the bricks cook, where you from y’all make moonshine and hunt Big Foot”

Real Deal defeats 9DM

Recap: Pretty sure that a guy doing very well in college is not a productive angle one would think to take as 9DM does in the 3rd round here. Still, as perplexing as that was, with 9 spouting a plethora of basic bars throughout this battle, against a straightforward, but punch-heavy, witty and personal-lit Real Deal, there was little chance for 9 in this 3-rounder from Grind Time anyway.

Verdict: Real Deal (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Real Deal – “You’re as believable as Doogie Howser’s character…on ‘How I Met Your Mother!”

Iron Solomon defeats 9DM

Recap: Ahh, the 2000’s with throwback jersey’s, XXXL white T’s and battle rap rounds under a minute…those were good ‘ole days. Besides that, with some fire rebuttals/personals mixed in, Iron Solomon easily outpunches 9DM in this 2-rounder from Brainstorm 2004.

Verdict: Iron Solomon (W) 2-0
