Recap: Rarely do I go there, but despite a pretty solid effort overall from Chetta, E-Hart clearly got robbed by the judges in this Chrome 23 tourney battle. And that’s even while giving Chetta the edge in round 2. But while the battlers were pretty equal on the name flips during the 3 rounds, Hart’s more intricate punches, clever wordplay, a spicy freestyle to open her final turn and heavy-handed personals/boasts/gun bars definitively added up to more haymakers in the 1st and 3rd rounds for the win.

Verdict: E-Hart (W) 2-1

Favorite line: E-Hart – “Move quick [bobs and weaves] or crack her [cracker] in the mouth, it’s communion!”

MyVerse defeats Chetta

Recap: MyVerse is such an anomaly. Has the skills and wants to sit at the table and eat with the top tier female battle rappers, but always has an excuse not to battle one of them. Still, after yet another long hiatus away from battle rap, as clearly seen here in this Rap Committee 1-round matchup against Chetta, the ‘Sex Symbol’ can still rap her ass off. Whether sporting some dope multi’s or a bunch of fiery punchlines or some gritty name flips and witty/mocking personals, even during a round that was a little longwinded, versus the repeated bully bars and aggressive mayhem from her opponent that at times became a little redundant, the versatile Verse delivers more than enough heat to earn the win.

Verdict: MyVerse (W) 1-0

Favorite line: MyVerse – “You’ve had that twinkie up in your purse for weeks, it’s only right for a fat bitch to feeding her insecurity!”

First Lady Flamez defeats Chetta

Recap: Aggressive with a gang of brazen punches/personals and bullish semantics, Chetta makes for a pretty solid effort in this 1-rounder from Our Society Battle League vs. First Lady Flamez. However, a more condensed and versatile Flamez, styling on her opponent with a consistent barrage of rigid name flips, fire wordplay, stifling punchlines, righteous banter and gripping set-ups/mayhem/gun bars, does enough to get the win here.

Verdict: First Lady Flamez (W) 1-0

Favorite line: First Lady Flamez – “Your punches don’t always have the forces they need, which makes sense ‘cuz big bitches known to struggle with speed!”

O’fficial defeats Chetta

Recap: In this close 1-rounder from The Smoke Room Battle League, Chetta makes quite an impression with a boatload of gritty gun bars, name flips and righteous punches. But a much more condensed and performance-lit O’fficial gets the edge here with a slightly more consistent barrage of piercing punchlines, raucous boasts and steely personals.

Verdict: O’fficial (W) 1-0

Favorite line: O’fficial – “You gonna either give a hook or take a hook, either way I’m dropping ’em, I’m asking you what treatment you want, the Nate Dogg or the Nate Robinson!”

40 B.A.R.R.S. defeats Chetta

Recap: It terms of a gritty bar-fest, it doesn’t get much better than this one as Chetta and 40 B.A.R.R.S. go toe-for-toe on the Queen of the Ring stage, dish the personals for the most part and go hardbody for 3 rounds with plenty of fiery gun bars, intoxicating punchlines, boastful barbs and rigid wordplay to boot. Aggressive on both sides with a little wit mixed in, this close and competitive bout, after draws in both of the latter rounds, comes down to the 1st, which a more haymaker-lit 40 took for the win.

Verdict: 40 B.A.R.R.S. (W) 2-1

Favorite line: 40 B.A.R.R.S. – “Find out where you stay in New York, I’m a clear the hotel-e out, this bitch won’t make it home like she came to R. Kelly’s house!”
