Recap: From Westworld Battle Rap, a dope, competitive and gritty 3-rounder between Quis and Hansel sees the former use an often elite and versatile punch game that featured a boatload of fire name flips, ill street-themed darts. pointed trap verses and piercing similes/personals to score more haymakers in both roounds 1 and 2 for the win. And while Hansel kept it close throughout the match with a gang of aggressive and righteous bars to go along with a bunch of hard-hitting personals and stifling punches of his own, the EFB member would suffer from a little too much filler in the earlier rounds before scoring a debatable in an equally efficient 3rd.

Verdict: Quis (W) 2-1

Shotgun Suge defeats Hansel

Recap: From URL’s Traffic 6 card, yet another lesson in time efficiency as Shotgun Suge shows relative newcomer Hansel (who outside of having too much filler, was confident, gritty and had his moments throughout this battle, esp. in round 2) it’s not how long you rap, but how often you hit while you rap. The veteran Jersey battler sticking to his 2-minute time limit and after splitting the earlier two rounds with his opp, taking the deciding 3rd with a more steady and personal/punch-heavy turn to earn the win.

Verdict: Shotgun Suge (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Shotgun Suge – “I’m quite evil, Hansel tried to find his way home and ran into something lethal, I had bread crumbs over the Mac like white people!”

Hansel defeats Yunus

Recap: From The Riot, a crazy dope, lyrical and competitive 3-rounder between Yunus and Hansel. The former flexing throughout with a charismatic flow that featured a gang of potent name flips, sublime set-up/punches/wordplay and gritty gun bars when he wasn’t effectively utilizing long-used, but still enriched personals/angels on his opponent. While the young EFB member brought the heat with an aggressive and impressive bunch of erudite punchlines, righteous/boastful darts and hard-hitting, emotionally-bent storytelling bars. A battle that certainly deserves a sequel down the line with its enthusiastic wordsmithing, while the more haymaker-lit Yunus clerly took round 2, it’s the tenacious and slightly more versatile Hansel who edges rounds 1 and 3 for the win.

Verdict: Hansel (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Hansel – “Bitch stop, you are just a Franchise that don’t curse…Kidz Bop!”

Hansel defeats Steams

Recap: From URL’s ‘Final Exams’ card, against a Steams who at times was punch/name flip-heavy and pretty gritty throughout, but had way too many unforced errors (including choking away his 3rd) to keep count, Hansel has an easy time to it. The EFB spitter utilizing a plethora of spicy gun bars, righteous storytelling, boastful barbs, hard street rhymes and a bunch of piercing personals/punchlines to handily score a 30 in this mostly one-sided 3-rounder.

Verdict: Hansel (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Hansel – “Entry wound, size of a shot glass, exit wound look like I shot glass!”

NXT and Hansel [DEBATABLE]

Recap: From WestWorld Battle Rap, EFB members NXT and Hansel go at it for three rounds and it’s a dope one. Both battlers highly aggressive with their raps, but there was plenty of substance that came with it through a barrage of sturdy punchlines, resident West-coast flossing, piercing name flips, roundhouse personals and a bunch of mayhem-lit boasts that for the most part made their mark on both sides. Tied (had NXT edgung round 1, before Hansel out-punched his opponent in roudn 2 to even things up) going into the deciding 3rd round, the final round turns to be an equally efficient banger with Hansel delivering another stream of consistently hard-hitting punches, while NXT went a completely different route via a crispy run of braggadocio (“I been here 7 years, that bad luck done ran out!”) darts that highlighted his battle rap resume and struggles coming up in the game versus that of the relative newcomer standing across from him.

Verdict: TIE

Favorite line: Hansel – “Shotgun, one pull gonna hit you and like two more of you haters, thats 3 nigga’s in one release…this shit a jumpshot creater!”
