Recap: SMH. I’ll never understand battle rap hosts (esp. those who are battle rappers themselves) disrespecting the artform by talking through a battlerss round. Like, make it make sense. Either way, while the needless chit-chatter caused her to stop her 2nd round short and quit, E-Hart’s 1st and 3rd, in this 3-rounder from OSBL, filled to the brim with a bunch of stinging punchlines, heated wordplay/gun bars and raucous name flips, still gets her win over a gritty and solid at times, but mostly pedestrian Don Ladyii.

Verdict: E-Hart (W) 2-1

Favorite line: E-Hart – “This battle y’all should call me E. Corleone, ‘cz it’s lights out I’m killing the Don then I’m going home!”

Don Ladyii defeats Yoshi G

Recap: While it’s common knowledge that the league didn’t start out that way, but from an aesthetics standpoint it’s still a little weird seeing QOTR putting on a battle that’s not in a boxing ring. That aside, a dope, competitive 3-rounder between Yoshi G and QOTR vet Don Ladyii, what with plenty of salacious sex talk, fiery punchlines/wordplay and piercing personals ends with (after a slightly punch-heavier Yoshi edged round 1 before Don Ladyii returned the favor to edge things up going into the 3rd) another close, hard-hitting and competitive 3rd, but with a slightly cleaner and versatile Don Ladyii edging the final round for the win.

Verdict: Don Ladyii (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Don Ladyii – “You the same bitch that let the state take her kids and blamed it on her mental health…that’s crazy!”

Viixen The Assassin defeats Don LadyII

Recap: Nice, competitive QOTR punch-fest here between Don LadyII and Viixen The Assassin was close for all 3 rounds. But with Viixen registering more blistering gun bars, salacious personals/wordplay, dope 4-bar set-ups all the while edging it on haymakers in each round, it’s a well-earned 30 for the Assassin.

Verdict: Viixen The Assassin (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Viixen The Assassin – “Catch you with a group of friends, bitch you know I’ll still murk you, think That 70’s Show…’cuz Don will get smoked in a circle!”

Don Ladyii and Casey Jay [DEBATABLE]

Recap: From QOTR, impressive lyrical performance, filled to the tee with a gang piercing punchlines, real street talk and witty (“Ya head so fucking big, it probably don’t fit in a fitted cap!”) barbs, from Don Ladyii earns the Queens, NY, emcee a draw with a versatile, punch/multi’s and personal-lit Casey Jay. Indeed, after the two battlers opened things up in round 1 with a punchfest for a tie, a slightly more consistently spicy Casey would edge round 2 before Don returned the favor in round 3 of what was overall a dope battle.

Verdict: Debatable

Favorite line: Casey Jay – “Blame whoever set up my last two battles ‘cuz they giving me Fetti the Trap Queen, I’m back out swinging, how you thought I was gonna sleep on you, I’ll blow ya brain through your head to help you think thinsg through!”

QB (Black Diamond) defeats Don Ladyii

Recap: This was unfair. For all the talking these two did before this battle, the results are a one-sided affair that had you wishing someone had thrown in the towel for Don Ladyii after round 2. Funny too to see that Don Ladyii’s attempt to put QB’s alleged criminal past on blast didn’t go over well with the crowd…at all. Only Couture could pull that shit off. Again this was unfair….QB all day.

Verdict: QB (W) 3-0

Favorite line: QB – “So when that Mac-11 click shit, I been a feen, squeeze on a boss like Rick Ross in skinny jeans”
