Yoshi going after her opponent with a bunch of juicy personals, some solid wordplay and a wide variety of hitting/righteous punchlines, made a show of it. While Viixen, outside of struggling with her flow a bit in round 1, kept it competitive with piercing (“Baby, when we tell you to suck it up, we don’t mean literally!”) darts aimed at Yoshi’s mental health as well as a gang of aggressive punchlines/personals and daunting gun lines. Close throughout, it’s the equally efficient but cleaner-flowing Yohsi who edges round 1, before a way more haymaker-lit Viixen took round 2 to tie things up. Helped by some dope off-the-dome heat to start her 3rd, Yoshi does just enough make the final round debatable in light of a pretty solid turn by Viixen.

Recap: A competitive 1-rounder from Our Society Battle League with two battlers , Viixen The Assassin and Jade, with similar aggressive-punching (with a little humor mixed in) styles, gets edged by the more set-up/wordplay-lit, less pedestrian and haymaker-friendly Viixen, who frankly speaking definitely needed a win.

Recap: After sound defeats in the past by Loso on URL and here against A. Ward on Chrome 23, Viixen The Assassin may want to look into staying away from the Horsemen. Either that or come up with a new gameplan on how to beat one of these Christian batttle rappers as this one was pretty much all Ward. The Kansas City, MO, rapper using a performance-heavy, steady and spirited barrage of boastful barbs, hard-hitting/witty personals, steely pontifications, spicy rebuttals and sizzling punchlines/name flips to take each round over an opponent who was suprisingly up-n-down with the personals, punches and gun bars (tho Viixen would fight back in the latter half of each round to try and make things competitive) all through the match.

Recap: At this point bar-wise is there anything Jaz the Rapper can’t do? With an extremely high battle IQ that’s more along the likes of Hollow in his hey day and a versatile bar game that’s top-notch regardless of gender, seeing Jaz elevate the game while coming outside more in 2022 should be one of the top stories in battle rap this year. Viixen the Assassin can attest to it. The Milwaukee, WI, emcee fighting through what was pretty much a home game for her opponent, in front of a cheering and locked-in Irving Plaza, NY crowd what with continuously loud aggression and raucous punches/gun bars/personals for 3 rounds. Yet, despite a pretty solid effort that was atypical Viixen, nothing the Assassin did would be near enough as Jaz just displayed throughout that there’s another level to this. The Brooklyn battler stunting on her opp with a punch-drunk, 4-bar setup rich and haymaker-drenched round 1 that also flexed her lyrical acumen. Before taking it even higher with a flawless and sublime (i.e. classic) 2nd that reminded you of just how well-rounded Jaz is, going after Viixen with a gang of killer name flips, hard-hitting punchlines, self-deprecating humor, witty barbs, piercing breakdowns and mocking/stinging personals that clearly hit their mark. Already up 2-0 (clearly) in this URL Homecoming match, Jaz would then use her 3rd round to get nostalgic and boast on her standing in the game before getting back to another barrage of fiery personals, hard boasts and fierce punches that solidified a well-earned 30.

Recap: In front of what seemed to be a timid Chrome 23 crowd (Remy Ma might want to look into changing her venue), a raucous, but competitive back-n-forth between Ms. Hustle (who also had some fiery schemes and aggressive angles on her plate) and Viixen The Assassin (aggressive throughout as well, but with a more workmanlike performance overall) gets edged by the more punch-lit, personal-spicy, versatile, steadily hitting and less predictable Milwaukee, WI queenpen, who after getting edged by a slightly more stellar round 1 by Hustle, came back with more potency to her bars in both of the latter rounds to earn the vic.

Recap: Arguably the best battle from the URL’s Kings vs. Queens 3 card, Tay Roc and Viixen The Assassin make the case with 3 competitive and aggressive (esp. on Viixen’s part, who almost literallly knocked Roc down with a couple of her more rambunctious performance bars), gun-bar-lit, punch-heavy, witty at times and personal-crazy rounds that kept the crowd captivated throughout. But while the loud and brazen (esp. when she was flipping some of Roc’s prior shit) Viixen proved once again that she’s capable of going toe-to-toe with any top tier battler, male or female, in the end Roc just proved to be a little too much here. The B-more vet steady flexing with a more versatile, original and consistent game that also included some fire schemes, a gang of head-ringing name flips/punchlines, sizzling wordplay and a couple of dope rebuttals to edge each round and score a Gentleman’s 30.

Recap: After a year of seeing the two go at it back-n-forth online and in person, Viixen The Assassin versus Casey Jay on URL’s Volume 8 more than lives up to the hype. A fierce, aggressive-on-both-sides, close and competitive battle throughout, this match was lit from the start with Casey Jay using a barrage of stifling gun bars, hardbody personals, feelgood racial darts and a gang of stellar punchlines to keep her in the mix, while a loud and performance-bent Viixen unloaded a steady stream of spicy set-ups/punches/similes, witty barbs, head-ringing gun lines and stinging personals on Casey and her Bardashian crew from start to finish. A well fought match with plenty of mayhem to spare, sexual innuendos and some dope movie references mixed in from both battlers, it’s a slightly more intricate and haymaker-lit Viixen who takes rounds 1 and 3 (call the 2nd debatable) for the win.

Recap: In a salacious-at-times battle between a rapper known for stellar wordplay (C3) and another known for her punching power and relentless mayhem (Viixen The Assassin), despite some light struggles with her flow here and there, it’s the slightly more set-up rich and haymaker-lit Viixen who edges both of the opening rounds for the win in this URL/QOTR No Holds Barred 3 bout, before a righteous-talking and personal-lit C3 took the 3rd.

Recap: Viixen The Assassin still needs to work on finishing her rounds better (or sometimes earlier) and Shooney Da Rapper’s bout with stumbles still serve as a detriment to an otherwise solid battle career, but other than that this QOTR matchup was fire. Like, all the way, with both battlers staying competitive for 3 rounds with a gang of hardbody punchlines, aggressive name-calling, scintillating personals, sizzling gun bars, rigid name flips and fiery set-ups/wordplay. Yet while Shooney gave a blazing effort throughout, it’s the more haymaker-lit (esp. during round 1) Viixen who edges each round for the women’s 30.

Recap: From URL’s Kings vs. Queens 2 card, both Loso and Viixen The Assassin put on dope, aggressive, punch-heavy performances in a battle also featured bruising race angles/set-ups from Loso and wicked name flips/gun bars from Viixen. However, a more punch-lit, personal breakdown-adept and cleaner-flowing Loso would take round one before the 4 Horseman would get even more righteous, condensed and hard-hitting with his, calling out his opponent’s alleged transgressions with race throughout round 2 while in the midst deftly using the cameramen in the room to enhance his bars. A superbly executed turn by Loso would he would need every bit of in light of a gritty, mayhem-savvy and personal/punchline-scoring 2nd from The Assassin. 3rd round was another doozy littered with strong showings from battlers, but the spicy Christian-themed lines and less dry spots turn by Viixen allow her to take the final round and prevent Loso from pitching a shutout.

Recap: The Riot Network has been delivering a lot of dope battles lately and here’s another one as Viixen The Assassin takes on Emerson Kennedy in a crowd-pleasing 1-rounder. Viixen, with an aggressive palette of hardbody punches and stinging personals/name flips makes her mark. But a handful of pedestrian bars by Viixen to go along with a consistently spicy, wordplay-heavy, personal-lit and freestyle-dropping EK, gives the Salt Lake City battler the win.

Recap: DNA returns to battle rap after a long hiatus and delivers what you’d expect from ‘The Champ’, a consistently spicy, thorough, name flip-savvy, political/racial-centric, punch-heavy, talking too to Viixen The Assassin, who while showing up with 3 aggressive, momentous at times, wordplay/personal-lit and boastful turns, wandered into a couple of dry spots and a slip-up or two here and there, especially during the 1st and 3rd (which we’ll call a debatable due to so many indirect bars from DNA, tho overall it was still stellar) rounds. For DNA, who may be a victim of some reverse sexism due to the polls on the app of this URL Kings vs. Queens battle, it’s an impressive win nonetheless.

Lastly, ummm yeah, Viixen got sort of robbed by the judges here as her loud but versatile, (“He look like the little boy off Stuart Little…all grown up!”) personal-savvy, mayhem-rich and more haymaker-lit turn got her a clear win in round 1 before Nate upped his bar efficiency with some scathing raps of his own to come back and take round 2.
