Recap: KOTD 3-rounder offers up a plethora of intellectual wordplay, boastful barbs, fierce schemes, piercing punchlines and witty personals from both Real Deal and Sketch Menace. A close one between two emcees that were pretty rigid with their lines, assisted a bit by Real Deal spouting some indirect bars on other subject matters, an also more haymaker-friendly Menace edges rounds 1 and 3 for the win.

Verdict: Sketch Menace (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Sketch Menace – “Hassling people like ’10 dollars is all it costs for this CD from me bro’, aka it’s gonna cost you 10 dollars for him to leave you alone!”

Sketch Menace defeats Dizaster

Recap: Not sure what the backstory is on this. But Dizaster doing a pinoint impression on Don’t Flop host/battler Eurgh for this KOTD battle against Sketch Menace certainly kept things entertaining and often times funny. Still, while the slightly punch-heavier and witty ‘DizastEURGH’ managed to edge the opening round, his opponent’s more consistently gritty raps, straightforward punchlines, witty barbs and solid personals did enough to edge both of the latter rounds for the win as Diz’s bars would lose some steam as the battle proceeded.

Verdict: Sketch Menace (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Sketch Menace – “You wanna know how I know you’ve never scored? You reference porn!”

DNA defeats Sketch Menace

Recap: Sketch Menace is a pretty dope battle rap moniker. But as seen here versus an animated DNA, Menace’s shtick works best when he sticks to the (“Talking about you got a million dollar smile?, yeah, that’s what they quoted you to fix it!”) jokes and punchlines, rather than the too-often ‘plain’ lines he spat here. All of which made for an easy 3-0 when faced against DNA’s fresh hometown schemes, spirited (“They booked Clips and Daylyt ‘cuz they wanted them bars, so how’s your name Sketch when you still not a draw on this card?”) name flips and more consistent delivery.

Verdict: DNA (W) 3-0

Favorite line: DNA – “Boy I work miracles, I could stop Advil with this pump!”
