B. Magic defeats Just Juice

Recap: With arguably one of the weakest (“holes in his body…look like he had a fight with a moose”) punch’s (after a righteous set-up) you’ve ever heard in battle rap, you just knew that Just Juice was in for a long night. And that it was as B. Magic’s consistent flossing and sturdy punchlines make mince meat of Juice’s mostly pedestrian bars to the point that with the battle already decided after two rounds, Juice’s 3rd being cut short (hence the asterisk) because he brought up a couple of Magic’s (who was already as emotional as one has ever seen on stage throughout the battle, perhaps due to battling a local St. Louis rival) dead homies, didn’t really matter.

Verdict: B. Magic (W) 2-0*

Favorite line: B. Magic – “I’ll point at you with the long cap like Uncle Sam!”

Jai defeats Jus Juice

Recap. Solid battle between Jus Juice and Jai is decided by more versatile turns by Jai. Who in the first couple of rounds, overcame a plethora of real rap stylings by Juice with a steady mix of sturdy name flips, hard-hitting personals, nice (“Won’t stop till I’m on top and they saying I’m great, long story short…this nigga couldn’t end J if he was abbreviating my state!”) wordplay and witty jokes. Still, give Juice credit for hanging in there with a potent (“Rocking them bright colors, I’ll roll up, smoke J…it’s the 80’s nigga!”) 3rd round that allowed him to avoid getting 3-0’d.

Verdict: Jai (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Jai – “…. so when that caliber spit…URL won’t be the only one’s with the footage of Jones battling Clips!”

QP (Qleen Paper) defeats Jus Juice

Recap: Jus Juice kicks that hard shit and he’s authentic with it, but not all his bars hit as much as the hometown crowd would like you to believe here. Then too when QP is on top of his game, there’s hardly anyone out there that’s more entertaining, much less able to spit that real rap the goons and wannabee goons love so much, but deliver jokes and wicked punchlines along with it. Good battle, but more variety bar-wise from QP gave him the edge here.

Verdict: QP (W) 1-0

Favorite line: QP – “I’ll give that limelight your set through, bananas on that chopper split that apple and cranberry his chest too, you little strawberry nigga, after breaking down all that fresh fruit, its Jus Juice!”
