Recap: From TBL, a fiery and competitive 3-rounder between Cortez and Ave. The former showing plenty of grit and versatility via a gang of steely street shit, wily name flips, aggressive braggadocious darts, flexing wordplay and stinging personals/punchlines, tho he did have bouts of lukewarm bars at times. While the slightly more condensed Norfolk, VA, battler dished yet another strong and consistent punch game, when he wasn’t also scoring with a plethora of hardbody personals, stirring name flips, bravel raps and piercing gun bars. Close throughout, outside of a debatable round 2 it’s the more punch-heavy and steady lit Ave who edges the 1st and 3rd rounds for the win.
Verdict: Ave (W) 2-1
Favorite line: Ave – “If we get jammed my lawyer is so proper, we don’t get charged for sliding on court [Cort], we Globetrotters!”
