Recap: Dre Dennis versus JC for a 1-rounder on Gates of the Garden gets flipped on its head a little bit thanks to a competitive Dre dishing a gang of wily personals to go along with his usual assortment of spastic gun bars and solid name flips/punches. But with his elongated opponent bringing not a lot that we haven’t seen before when it comes to personal disses and other what have you, JC’s more condensed and steady round of clever wordplay, flippant similes, rich storytelling, some witty barbs here and there and gritty/boastful punchlines scores more haymakers and ends up winning out.
