Recap: From Takeova Battle League, John John Da Don vs Swamp in a 3-round battle that was plenty lit with tension and fiery personals. The two battlers (who apparently had some external beef beforehand) keeping it competitive, while also trading a bunch of gritty punchlines, solid name flips and bullish darts that had their respective entourages greatly admiring their handiwork. But ironically, JJDD’s scandalous history would work against him here more than Swamp’s as Swamp repeatedly jabbed at his opponent with a variety of witty barbs and salacious personals that scored more often than the largely heard-it-all-before personals/jokes from John John. That factor would serve as a big difference here and allow the more haymaker-lit Swamp to take each of the latter two (call round 1 debatable) rounds for the win.
Verdict: Swamp (W) 3-0
Favorite line: Swamp – “You are an opportunist, every piece of clout you wanna feed on it, you mad ‘cuz you couldn’t afford to book me homie, and he phony, every nigga with a beard and a bald head ain’t meant to be no league owner!”
