Recap: From Public Influence Battle League, sidestepping (for the most part) the death-gripping landscape we’re used to seeking from him, JC utilizes (esp. in round 3) a gang of righteous darts on battle rap, etc., stinging set-up/punchlines, hard-hitting religious-themed bars, a rare (and fire) rebuttal and piercing name flips/schemes to deliver a Gentlemen’s 3-0 on A. Ward, who while crazy with the rebuttals and freestyles, was mostly hit-n-miss with the punches/personals esp. when mired in one too many reaches, indirect punches and standard filler.
Verdict: JC (W) 3-0
Favorite line: JC – “Y’all seem the score, they want battle rap to focus on everything except who bringing war, and now we gotta put a lens on ghostwriting…like a Yugioh board!”
