Recap: From Takeova Battle League, a 3-rounder between Jaz The Rapper and Arsonal. The two-time WOTY champ taking on Big Jersey while continuing to check off a long list of top tier male battle rappers that apparently ends with Murda Mook (who she took a shot at towards the end of her 3rd round). As for the battle itself? Altogether a goodie and definitely competitive throughout what with da Rebel dismissing any doubt of taking his opp seriously via an aggressive and often blistering package of scathing disses/personals, boastful barbs, solid name flips and gritty punchlines. While Jaz brought the heat with a gang of hard-hitting personals of her own, rampant violence, flippant gun bars, piercing set-up/punchlines and rigid storytelling that often landed. That said, a way more punch-heavy Arsonal would handily take round 1 before (thanks in part to a bunch of filler from Ars) the more condensed and steadily hitting Jaz took round 2 to tie things up heading into the 3rd. The deciding final round (tho they both had minor slip-ups) gets edged hereby Jaz, who again displayed more consistent flair along with enough hitting punches to earn the win.
Verdict: Jaz The Rapper (W) 2-1
