Recap: Dark Horse Battle League gets a goodie here as JC and 40 B.A.R.R.S. go at it for 3 competitive rounds. The two battle vets both getting busy when it comes to stinging wordplay, gritty punchlines, hard-hitting personals, rigid/bullish screeds and flashy street/gun bars to keep it close throughout. However, with the addition of a bunch of mean/versatilename flips and fly similes, it’s the slightly more haymaker-lit JC who takes rounds 1 and 3 (call the 2nd debatable) for the win.
Verdict: JC (W) 2-1
Favorite line: JC – “The lead on me, nah I don’t plan on shooting this bitch I respect 40, but if she make a sound somebody gonna spill 40 on the ground…on the dead homie!”
