Recap: From Universal Bars Battle League, a 3-rounder between Chef Trez and Cali Smoov that was pretty much all Trez. The Chef scoring per usual with a handful of fly rebuttals, spicy name flips, some crazy wordplay, gritty punchlines, mocking personals and fiery gun bars. But also going so far as to aptly breakdown Cali’s tendency to cater to the crowd (even pointing out here how he got his cities mixed up bar-wise) and habit of spitting pedestrian bars–it’s all the same and although Smoov gave a solid effort overall, for 3 rounds his much more steady-hitting opponent simply overmatched the West-coast vet.
Verdict: Chef Trez (W) 3-0
Favorite line: Chef Trez – “What nigga, you want praise?, I was 11 when I first caught my first charge, 12 seen before I ever turned the age!”
