Recap: From Dark Horse Battle League, a Southern regional 3-round battle between Swamp (SC) and Midas (GA) while entertaining at times with its wily personals, grandstanding name flips, witty barbs, hometown comparisons, hard-hitting street shit and fiery gun bars, fails to reach its ceiling thanks to lack of preparation from both battlers–Swamp losing focus and having to cut short his oening round midway through, while Midas struggled with his flow and unleashed a couple of slip-ups in the 3rd before also cutting his round short. That said, with Midas (“Nigga, fuck a raccoon, this nigga deserve to get beat, but I could give you two black eyes, you know since you are what you eat!”) handily taking the opener and Swamp returning the favor in round 3, although Swamp rapped a lot shorter, an equally efficient and punch-heavy round 2 makes this battle a debatable.
Verdict: TIE
Favorite line: Swamp – “Them muthafuckahs asking what I’m a do with a nigga with the Midas touch…a golden gun!”
