Fonz defeats T-Top

Recap: Former NWX members, Fonz and T-Top, meet up on Street Talk Ent and for the most part it’s a doozy. T-Top delivering a gritty assortment of rugged trap talk, witty personals/storytelling and hitting punchlines, stayed competitive except for when he was (esp. in round 2) struggling with his flow. While Fonz, bullish as ever with his punch game, also brought the heat when it came to fiery gun bars, wily personals of his own, a couple of solid rebuttals and boastful darts. However, after a debatable opening round, it’s the more steadier with the punches, condensed and haymaker-lit Fonz who takes each of the latter for the win.

Verdict: Fonz (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Fonz – “Ain’t you a drug lord?, when the next time your fat ass run on the muthaphuckin’ plug, It’s gonna be a breathing machine!”

Tay Roc defeats Quest Mcody

Recap: From Public Influence Battle League, scoring way more haymakers and dominating the 1st and 3rd rounds with a plethora of pugnacious/violence-themed schemes, sizzling gun bars, flexing name flips, wily personals and gritty punchlines, Tay Roc gets the win over an aggressive and pretty solid overall, but not (except for round 2 where he delivered a more punch-heavy, pointed, personal-lit [that ‘You got robbed at fist point nigga’ line was hilarious] and consistent turn to make it a debatable) nearly as steadily hitting with the punches Quest Mcody.

Verdict: Tay Roc (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Tay Roc – “You wanna make a name off Roc?, here’s a headstone!”

Ill Will defeats Cortez

Recap: The irony of Street Talk Ent booking Cortez (long known for his racy street talk) certainly wasn’t lost here. However, against an Ill Will who while getting off to a bit of a slow start in each of his 3 rounds, still managed to turn it up eventually and steadily score when it came to boastful barbs, bodacious punchlines, witty barbs and hitting name flips, Cort’s gritty darts, violent-themed bars and greasy wordplay wouldn’t hold up. Not in the first of couple of rounds anyway. Thus, a slightly more condensed Will scoring more haymakers to take the 1st and 2nd rounds for the win, before things got a little spicy, more personal and even off-the-dome-ish on both sides during a debatable 3rd.

Verdict: Ill Will (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Ill Will – “You peep the divide?, don’t make me retort, this ain’t gonna go like how you thought it was gonna like a cheap resort!”

J Morr defeats KD

Recap: From T-Top’s Hunting Season 3 card, against a consistently gritty, sometimes personal-lit and competitive KD, overall a slightly more condensed J Morr uses a bunch of fierce similes, nasty gun bars, witty darts, wily personals/name flips and graphic/greasy street-themed punches to edge all 3 rounds for the Gentlemen’s 30.

Verdict: J Morr (W) 3-0

Favorite line: J Morr – “Nigga, I ain’t know pussy was contagious, you trying to make me sick!”

Geechi Gotti defeats Fatx

Recap: After a hilarious face-off, battle rap up-n-comer Fatx and Geechi Gotti meet up for 3 rounds on Public Influence Battle League and it turned out to be a goodie. A confident Fatx for the most part held his own when it came to aggression, gritty punchlines and wily gun bars. However versus a newbie too often mired in pedestrian bars, Gotti more than took advantage. The West-coast vet for all 3 rounds consistently dishing a gang of mocking/witty personals, flippant name flips, hard-hitting street/gun bars, boastful barbs and fire punches to outwork his opponent and catch a 30.

Verdict: Geechi Gotti (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Geechi Gotti – “If you don’t let off the whole clip during a shootout, you really ain’t doing ya job, I remember on one mission I had so much gunpowder on my hands I could do the Lebron!”

Geechi Gotti defeats 40 B.A.R.R.S.

Recap: From Takeova Battle League, outside of a lackluster and shortened round 1 from 40 B.A.R.R.S., this 3-rounder between 40 and Geechi Gotti (who handily took the opening round on his round with a witty, disrespectful and haymaker-drenched turn) turned out to be a competitive goodie. Round 2 was a close one, but with 40 upping the ante when it came to hard-hitting personals and flexing punches, her overall performance would be just enough to edge a hardbody and sexually explicit but slightly flawed when it came to his flow, turn by Gotti. Tied going into the 3rd, after a bit of a slow start 40 would deliver yet another punch-heavy round. But a slip-up by 40 at the beginning of her round combined with a versatile, witty, steady, rebuttal-dishing and personal-lit run by Geechi would give Gotti the round and the win.

Verdict: Geechi Gotti (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Geechi Gotti – “I’m too serious, I’ll beat blood out this bitch, she gonna feel like she had two period’s!”

Charlie Clips defeats Loso

Recap: In a 3-round battle from Street Talk Ent (which really needs to switch up and go with an up-n-close pit format instead of the stage when it comes to battle rap) that was pretty mid all around, Charlie Clips uses a bunch of solid Christian-themed personals, piercing schemes/punches, storied freestyles and witty barbs to handily take all 3 rounds for the win over a mostly pedestrian Loso.

Verdict: Charlie Clips (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Charlie Clips – “While you in the crib with a bitch, probably drinking on Shardai, I’m in ya mother’s house giving her 3rd leg like a parlay!”

Loso defeats J Morr

Recap: Battling Loso on his hole turf in Florida, an ever aggressive and dialed-up J Morr uses a bunch of disrespectful, Christian-themed raps, slinging gun bars, gritty punches and bullish boasts to stay competitive. But a consistently spicy Loso on his A-game (esp. when it came to keeping his flow intact) throughout flexes in front of the home crowd with a handful of fire rebuttals, piercing name flips, righteous darts, hard-hitting personals and fiery punches/schemes to score more haymakers and edge round 1, and despite Morr returning the favor in round 2, thanks in part to a shortened turn by his opponent in the deciding 3rd, the Christian battler would still deliver a much more punch-heavy round to gain the win.

Verdict: Loso (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Loso – “Man you are no killer, you should’ve called off, he became a Crip later in life and like Christopher Reeves, and because of a Horse he about to fall off!”

JC defeats A. Ward

Recap: From Public Influence Battle League, sidestepping (for the most part) the death-gripping landscape we’re used to seeking from him, JC utilizes (esp. in round 3) a gang of righteous darts on battle rap, etc., stinging set-up/punchlines, hard-hitting religious-themed bars, a rare (and fire) rebuttal and piercing name flips/schemes to deliver a Gentlemen’s 3-0 on A. Ward, who while crazy with the rebuttals and freestyles, was mostly hit-n-miss with the punches/personals esp. when mired in one too many reaches, indirect punches and standard filler.

Verdict: JC (W) 3-0

Favorite line: JC – “Y’all seem the score, they want battle rap to focus on everything except who bringing war, and now we gotta put a lens on ghostwriting…like a Yugioh board!”

Rum Nitty defeats Newz

Recap: In this fiery, competitive 3-rounder from The Battle Academy, Rum Nitty’s storied gun bars, graphic mayhem, frenzied wordplay and piercing punchlines are enough to score more haymakers and edge the stinging and gritty street-themed raps from Newz in both of the opening rounds for the win. Despite another spirited and solid turn from Nitty in the 3rd, Newz’ more blazing punches and steady darts would be enough to take the final round and avoid the shutout.

Verdict: Rum Nitty (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Rum Nitty – “If I let it go in public, then your dog Walker gonna need a shitbag!”

Chef Trez defeats Just B

Recap: In this 1-rounder from The Boiling Point, Just B delivers an impressive performance, utilizing a plethora of gritty punchlines and ill street semantics/name flips to stay competitive. However, a Chef Trez armed with a gang of potent gun bars, hard-hitting schemes, a trio of them thangs that included a mid-round round rebuttal and a bunch of wicked punches/boastful barbs of his own, scores more than enough haymakers to take it in the end.

Verdict: Chef Trez (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Chef Trez – “We both Studio members but you can’t rap with me, I’m pro Tools and Logic but what gives you the Audacity!”

Nu Jerzey Twork and Steams [DEBATABLE]

Recap: In this 3-rounder from Street Talk Ent, Steams’ rumble-tumble punches and wily wordplay versus Nu Jerzey Twork’s bullish punchlines/gun bars, searing name flips and piercing personals end up in a debatable. The slightly more haymaker-lit Twork (while also taking advantage of his opponent struggling a bit with his flow) winning round 1, before an equally punch-lit 2nd round from (Steams: “Play ya part, ‘cuz you’ll go into the light when I make it dark, if you get caught I’ll bet this bitch jersey sell out like Caitlin Clark!”) both battlers made for a tie there. The 3rd round however, a winnable one for NJT what with Steams delivering a pretty mid turn, gets edged by the We Go Hard vet thanks to Twork’s mostly pedestrian punches.

Verdict: TIE

Favorite line: Nu Jersey Twork – “Rest in peace to MO3, he was killing truly, I’m talking ‘They scared to come outside’ like the Sinners movie!”

Los Premee defeats Yunus

Recap: From iBattle TV, in a battle that was pretty heated and personal at times, what with past words exchanged and tension between the two battlers going into this 3-rounder. Against the rapid-fire punches, wily similes and African/virgin-drenched personals from up-n-comer Los Premee (if URL could let Chess skip the Proving Grounds, I don’t see why they can’t do the same for a rising star like Los when it comes to the Crucibles), Yunus stays competitive with a gang of gritty punchlines, searing wordplay and hard-hitting personals of his own. However, unable to score as many haymakers as his opponent in round 1 coupled with a mid-round major slip-up by Yunus in round 2 helps a tenacious Los Premee take both of the opening rounds for the win before a 3rd round debatable.

Verdict: Los Premee (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Los Premee – “You ever stared down the barrel of a gun?, that shit induces trauma, this ratchet is an eye-opener…Futurama!”

Chess defeats P.A.Y.N.E.

Recap: In this 1-rounder from The Fight Back Arena, P.A.Y.N.E.’s graphic violent-themed street raps, solid personals and wily name flips make for a competitive show. But with his own wide variety of stinging name flips coupled with more systematic wordplay, boastful barbs and a gang of flippant punches, a slightly more condensed and haymaker-lit Chess earns the win.

Verdict: Chess (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Chess – “The fans kept saying I had to get some shit in line, I’m really back P.A.Y.N.E. [pain], that mean I won’t slip this [disc] time!”

Jey The Nitewing and NXT (DEBATABLE)

Recap: From Mic Masters Alliance, a dope, at times scheme-heavy, consistently fiery three-round clash between West Coast battlers Jey The Nitewing and NXT. The matchup being a bit of a style clash, what with NXT’s loud, aggressive delivery versus Jey’s high-pitched baritone and slowed, almost “relaxed” pontifications made for an ill performance and both battlers delivered. Jey and NXT coming heavily armed with crazy similes, sizzling name flips, gritty punchlines, and sharp, witty personals. NXT would take Round 1 with a plethora of steely (“I don’t think wing could get fly, I’m a hypocrite, this first one…indigenous”) wordplay/punches which led to steady haymakers in a round that was also aided by a rare slip-up from Jey. Round 2 was tight overall, but edged by Jey, who packed more condensed haymakers into his material than his opponent. The final round, electric and captivating on both sides, saw both emcees land equally hard-hitting shots, making it an even split and the battle itself debatable.

Verdict: TIE

Favorite line: Jey The Nitewing – “War tactics, pen firing and I’m exploding with that shit, I don’t focus on fashion, RIP clothing for all your homies to match with!”

Charron defeats Bill Collector

Recap: From The Battle Academy, good idea on Bill Collector’s part to keep his rounds short and condensed versus a battler like Charron who’s known for elongated rounds. However, after a debatable round 1 between the two, Charron’s rapid-fire punches filled to the brim with plenty of scintillating name flips, witty barbs, hard-hitting personals and stinging punches would prove to be too much for an opponent wrapped in way too may pedestrian bars in round 2, and while a bit more competitive in round 3, still couldn’t keep up with Billy Pistol’s scorching amount of haymakers.

Verdict: Charron (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Charron – “The pocket check was invented on you and there’s nothing in it!”

Shotgun Suge defeats J Dose

Recap: Yes, it’s 2025 and infamous Smack DVD era boul J Dose still battle raps. But in this 1-rounder from The Battle Academy, despite rapping way longer than his opponent, the Philly battler’s gritty punchlines and character assassination attempts (repeatedly accusing Shotgun Suge of stealing some bars from him) for the most part land with little impact. Thus leaving a much more condensed, rapid/steely-punching, personal-lit and haymaker-friendly Suge with an easy win.

Verdict: Shotgun Suge (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Shotgun Suge – “You tried to say I stole from you?, I should shame you, ‘cuz the only thing I’d ever take is the life that God gave you!”

Real Name Brandon defeats Snake Eyez

Recap: From The Riot, Snake Eyez with usual assortment of brash raps, gritty punches, disrespectful darts and hard-hitting/witty personals versus Real Name Brandon with his slick wordplay, rapid/nasty punchlines and hardbody street tales makes for a dope 3-rounder…for one round anyway. After a crazy-on-both-sides, debatable round 1, it was pretty much downhill from there. Snake staying aggressive in the latter rounds, but clearly thwarted on subject matter while succumbing to one too many pedestrian lines. While RNB stayed consistent, scoring with an addition of fly schemes, fire sturytelling and clever disses what with an already dope punch game and handily taking rounds 2 and 3 for the win.

Verdict: Real Name Brandon (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Real Name Brandon – “We used to think she was rich, I ain’t even embellish it, we just expected granny to have it…like a peppermint!”

Chef Trez defeats Ton

Recap: A solid round from Ton, who in this 1-rounder from the Gates used a lot of brash street shit and other boastful barbs/name flips to stay competitive. But even with no rebuttal game thanks to him going first, Chef Trez is able to consistently dish out a bunch of hard-hitting freestyles (including a mid-rounder), fiery gun bars, wily name flips and gritty punches to outscore his opponent for the win.

Verdict: Chef Trez (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Chef Trez – “Y’all got me against a fat target, a nigga that got camo pants on but was fatigued before the match started!”

Charlie Clips defeats Topfloor Lut

Recap: From The Battle Academy, versatile and hard-hitting Charlie Clips uses a flexing mix of solid name flips, wily freestyles, piercing street/trap talk, boastful barbs, stinging punches/personals, fierce schemes and witty darts to score more haymakers and handily take both of the opening rounds for the win against Topfloor Lut. With a chance to pitch a shutout in the 3rd however, an elongated Clips would succumb to a gang of middling freestyles, rants at the Philly crowd and other what-have-you that was hit and miss. That in turn allowed Topfloor, steady scoring in the final round via a bunch of gritty punches, solid personals and hard-slinging hustler talk, to salvage the round and avoid the 30.

Verdict: Charlie Clips (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Charlie Clips – “Lowkey I’m like Thor, I grab the hammer and breeze, but if I bump into Lut I’m a grab the hammer and squeeze, and every bullet was made to open up Top floor, these shits like janitor keys!”

Swervoo defeats Bill Collector

Recap: From OSBL, while Bill Collector’s spitfire ‘Your name is Swerv, not bob-n-weave!’ line in round 2 epitomized not only a dope round, but the lazy usage of an old (BC getting knocked out by Hitman’s little brother) angle that’s been played to death already, even against a Swervoo we’ve seen better from it wasn’t enough. The Norristown, PA, native dishing way one too many pedestrian bars in rounds 1 and 3 against an opponent scoring more consistently with a steady diet of fiery gun bars, gritty punchlines, boastful barbs and solid name flips to prevent a defeat.

Verdict: Swervoo (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Swervoo – “I want you to see me shoot you, I don’t get no points if I catch you lacking, f-ck a Supa-dupa-scope, I’ll walk down and then pull it after, you know who else got a Supa-dupa-scope?, forensics examiners and bullet fragments!”

Ill Will defeats Jey The Nitewing

Recap: A dope 3-rounder from Takeova Battle League between Jey The Nitewing and Ill Will comes down to the 3rd round after the two (had Nitewing edging round 1 and Will returning the favor in the 2nd) split the opening rounds via a gang of bodacious punches (Will), righteous darts (JTN), boastful barbs (both), amusing lines (both), ill personals (both) and crazy name flips (both). But Ill Will, who due to his bullish tones, never gets enough credit for his ample wit, would continue harping on his opponent’s infamous day job with sterling effect. The Michigan battle vet scoring left and right with seismic punches/personals, witty puns, righteous barbs, ripe storytelling and hard-hitting gun bars/street darts in what turned out to be a sublime (i.e. classic) round. And while Nitewing would deliver a pretty solid, noble and often punch-heavy 3rd, his round wouldn’t be nearly as haymaker-lit as Will’s, thus giving Yaktown’s finest the round and the win.

Verdict: Ill Will (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Ill Will – “Yeah I’m knowing the mission, put this ho in submission, with that poet rendition, a .9 in his face feel like he driving a race, night particles all over the ceiling!”

JC defeats Mr. Mann

Recap: From Gates of the Garden, continuing to make a name for himself with these 1-round, top-tier solo missions, the street ethos and bullish bars from Mr. Mann here prove to be competitive once again. However, one too many pedestrian bars from his opponent and a more condensed JC dialing up a gang of sublime name flips, death-gripping set-up/punchlines, stinging gun bars/wordplay and boastful barbs, at the end of the day prove to be too much.

Verdict: JC (W) 1-0

Favorite line: JC – “It’s a shame for nigga’s, but that’s how the cookie crumbles and my aim is [Amos] famous!”

Presidential Dubz defeats Ryda

Recap: From The Fight Back Arena, after some time away from the battle rap scene, Ryda comes back and it’s a huge disappointment. The former Goonie surprisingly choking midway through his round here versus Presidential Dubz (who came lit with his usual assortment of violent performance-lit bars, mean set-up/punchlines and wily name flips) for like a couple of minutes and despite getting it back to make for a solid turn, losing the bout due to his insurmountable unforced error.

Verdict: Presidential Dubz (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Presidential Dubz – “If I’m getting hit, shit Ry getting hit first, caught him walking to his V, is when I sparked him [stomps feet] sat on the side of his ride, I double-parked him!”

Chef Trez defeats Plugg

Recap: In this 1-rounder from Settle the Score Battle League, a steady-hitting Chef Trez uses a gang of sizzling gun bars, fiery/versatile name flips, feelgood personals, stunted rebuttals/freestyles and gritty punchlines to score more haymakers and beat back a solid punching and witty at times, but kess consistent effort from opponent Plugg.

Verdict: Chef Trez (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Chef Trez – “You not the same type as me, bastard stop, I seen you rap in Crocks with matching socks, that’s not a Plug, that’s a thot!:

Jerry Wess defeats Sity Kals

Recap: In this 1-rounder from Street Talk Ent, Jerry Wess utilizes a gang of crazy name flips, gritty punches/schemes, performance-lit darts, fiery gun bars and boastful barbs to handily score more haymakers and beat back a versatile and punch-heavy at times, but mostly so-so effort from opponent Sity Kals.

Verdict: Jerry Wess (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Jerry Wess – “Your bars like they 2010, that’s what you call a style?, the way this man spit, Atlantis, Sity watered down!”

Muuuwop defeats NXT

Recap: From The Riot, a fiery and highly competitive 3-rounder between Philly’s Muuuwop and West-coast stalwart NXT. Filled with plenty of aggression, hard-hitting street darts, sizzling name flips, solid personals, name-calling and gritty punchlines on both sides, the battle stayed close throughout. However, lighting up the room at a quicker and slightly more efficient pace with the haymakers while unleashing less filler, Muuuwop is able to do just enough to take the first two rounds for the win, before a slightly more punch-heavy NXT edged the 3rd to avoid the shutout.

Verdict: Muuuwop (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Muuuwop – “I’ll finish you completely, extend a Glock, pin the spot, Rubik Cubem spin the block, for thinking he smooth he’ll end up in the blender…I’m up early to get this Ginger shot!”

Chess defeats Celly Cell

Recap: From BMBL, in a 3-rounder that was dominated by name flips from both sides, despite struggling with his flow a bit throughout the battle, a still wily and more consistently hitting with the aforementioned name flips to go along with a bunch of piercing gun bars, boastful barbs and gritty set-up/punchlines Chess manages to score more haymakers in all 3 rounds for the win over an aggressive, street talking and at times hard-hitting, but mostly pedestrian Celly Cell.

Verdict: Chess (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Chess – “If I beat this bitch-ass nigga to the ground who gonna lift dude up?, I don’t give two fucks, ya name Cell, it got a ring to it, ‘cuz all your nigga’s gonna have to pick you up!”

Madflex defeats JC

Recap: A dope 3-rounder here from Takeova Battle League, comes down to the 3rd round after Madflex (who got round 1) and JC (who spazzed with enough continuously flexing punches in the latter half of his round to take the 2nd) split the openers. Flex with some brutal disses, witty personals/storytelling and hard-hitting punchlines throughout the battle and JC (who’s been battling a lot lately), via a bunch of death-gripping darts, rugged name flips, boastful barbs and fiery wordplay/similes, kept things close and entertaining for all 3 rounds. However, despite another punch-heavy turn by JC in round 3, it’s the more versatile and slightly more haymaker-lit Madflex who edges the final round for the win.

Verdict: Madflex (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Madflex – “If I size him up he’ll need a reminder that the metric isn’t feet, ‘cuz I’ll start stomping, y’all seen the cover of Illmatic?, little boy face about to blend into the street!”

Yunus defeats Chess

Recap: A fire battle with plenty of competitive grit and crowd interaction and between Chess and Yunus from URL’s N.O.M.E. 15 card. Chess, the ‘vet’ here ironically a decade after his famous Rookies vs. Vets battle against DNA, came with 3 rounds of straight heat. The ‘Shape Shifter’ utilizing a gang of boastful barbs, solid name flips, fiery gun bars, hitting schemes, gritty punches and personals, righteous darts and feelgood wordplay to stay in the mix throughout his 3 rounds. While Yunus, showing nary a bit of anxiety in front of a huge Gramercy crowd, swayed the crowd with a plethora of fire similes, witty personals, steely/performance-rich bars, searing wordplay of his own, flexing ‘Chess’ name flips and battle rap colloquialisms and a gang of piercing punchlines. A close bout through and through with each battler displaying excellent stage presence and versatility to their raps, after a debatable round 1, it’s the slightly more haymaker-lit Yunus who edges rounds 2 and 3 for the win.

Verdict: Yunus (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Yunus – “Your first time here was versus DNA and you threw up…I pray you ain’t feeling nostalgic!”

Charlie Clips defeats Anymal

Recap: Not really on his A-game, but in this 1-rounder from Street Talk Entertainment, Charlie Clips uses a bunch of wily freestyles, some solid name flips, witty barbs/personals and hitting punches/schemes to score more haymakers and still handily beat back a mostly pedestrian effort from Pittsburgh battler Anymal.

Verdict: Charlie Clips (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Charlie Clips – “As long as the league owner like this shit, him and wifey gonna go home and talk about it for the rest of the night and shit, like yo did you see how Clips had to damage dude?, came in here with no leash and still control Anymal!”

Shotgun Suge defeats Swamp (Rematch)

Recap: After a controversial loss in their previous battle, Shotgun Suge finally gets some payback here against Swamp. The Jersey vet, after getting beat to his more haymaker-lit opp in round 1, coming back in both of latter rounds with a gang of blazing trap talk, bullish punchlines, gritty street shit and witty/righteous personals to complete the win over his less consistent adversary in this 3-rounder from Straight Drop Media.

Verdict: Shotgun Suge (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Shotgun Suge – “I know all the perp heads ‘cuz they used to get it from me, I know nigga’s that stage car crashes just to get it for free!”

Chef Trez defeats J2

Recap: From Straight Drop Media, clever move by J2 in round 1 of this poor sound quality 3-rounder to tell opponent Chef Trez that if he tried to rebuttal him, it’d make him gay. And while the tactic worked enough to make Trez think about it for a minute or two, eventually the Chef got back to business and unleashed a pair of them things. That, along with a gang of stifling gun bars, mocking personals, solid name flips and hitting street talk would earn Trez an easy win over an opp who while steadily aggressive, couldn’t get out of his own way when it came to way too many pedestrian bars throughout the battle.

Verdict: Chef Trez (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Chef Trez – “You always talking about being an indie artist, but ya death gonna be a major deal!”

JC defeats K Venom

Recap: From iBattleTV, judging from the frequent amount of times he dapped up K Venom after his opponent delivered a fire punch, we’re sure that JC wouldn’t have a hard time admitting how challenging this 3-rounder was. Nonetheless in the face of some fire optics, sizzling punches/wordplay and piercing similes from Venom, JC’s morbid set-up punchlines, boastful barbs, righteous schemes and other wily, but hitting darts are just enough to edge rounds 1 and the deciding 3rd for the win.

Verdict: JC (W) 2-1

Favorite line: JC – “Yes sir, the fans may sleep like a memory foam mattress, but your impression should be lasting even when you get up!”

Charlie Clips defeats O-Solo

Recap: From BMBL, against the witty, unpredictable, one-two punches from O-Solo, Charlie Clips uses a bunch of fiery schemes, mocking personals, solid name flips, witty barbs of his own and hitting punchlines to handily take rounds 1 (in light of a very pedestrian turn by Clips, had O-Solo edging round 2 even tho it wasn’t his best round) and 3 for the win.

Verdict: Charlie Clips (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Charlie Clips – “I got a big Glock, uploaded so many clips in 60 seconds I woke up verified on TikTok!”

Coffee Brown defeats A. Ward

Recap: From The Riot, seeing past a punch-heavy, rebuttal-lit and all-around crazy 2nd round from opponent A. Ward, a steadier hitting Coffee Brown (who also had a couple of nice rebuttals throughout) utilizes a bunch of piercing name flips, Christian-themed disses, hard-hitting trap talk, fiery gun bars, some witty personals/race angles and a gang of flexing/violence-prone punchlines to edge round 1 and handily take the deciding 3rd for the win.

Verdict: Coffee Brown (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Coffee Brown – “He look like he into gentle parenting, but I put belt to ass!”

Fonz defeats John John Da Don

Recap: From URL’s N.O.M.E. XV card, in a long-awaited 3-rounder that was actually closer (scored round 2 as a debatable) than fans were given credit for. Despite a versatile and mostly competitive (until he got watered down in way too many pedestrian bars during the latter half of his 3rd) effort from John John Da Don, his opponent Fonz’s adds a boatload of spitfire babymama jokes/personals and other witty raps, a fly punch game, some fiery gun bars, rich storytelling, steely name flips and a bunch of boastful barbs to score more haymakers (in round rounds that were pretty evenly timed) in both rounds 1 and 3 for the win.

Verdict: Fonz (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Fonz – “These nigga’s is fake, oh he think ‘cuz we in NY that nigga’s is safe, well get in the paint, just know in that graveyard they don’t do no multiple choice, they just fill in the blanks!”

JC defeats Black Gemini

Recap: From IronKlad Battle League, a competitive 1-rounder between Black Gemini and JC gets edged by the latter. JC utilizing a bunch of boastful barbs, searing/scheme-atic build-ups to hard-hitting punches, a few stinging name flips here and there and a gang of fiery gun bars to score more haymakers to beat a consistently gritty, shit-talking and punch-heavy at times, but slightly less steady and a bit filler-prone effort from Mr. Gemini.

Verdict: JC (W) 1-0

Favorite line: JC – “It’s over a decade of work, it’s why some of y’all favorite vets lay in dirt and today you just don’t fit in my plans, but I’m still lit ‘cuz I’m a fight against my older self like Will Smith!”

Jey The Nitewing defeats Rum Nitty

Recap: From URL’s N.O.M.E. 15 card, somewhat taking advantage on an opponent in Rum Nitty who despite a pretty solid effort throughout chose to go light on the personals, Jey The Nitewing also utilizes a gang of brash raps, wily name flips/personals, rich metaphors, steely pontificating, witty barbs and a strong (esp. in round 2) set-up/punch game to quantitatively score more haymakers in both of the opening rounds to edge one for the win before a more steady punching Nitty nipped the 3rd to avoid the shutout.

Verdict: Jey The Nitewing (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Jey The Nitewing – “Worst time to be an alien ‘cuz I control everything!”

T-Top defeats Ms. Hustle

Recap: From URL’s N.O.M.E. 15 card, in what turned out to be a surprisingly one-sided affair, T-Top utilizes a sizzling variety (dissing everything from Hustle’s BBL to her prior friendship with Remy Ma to her alleged sexcapades and a whole lot more) of spitfire personals in all 3 rounds in addition to spreading out a bunch of witty puns, boastful barbs, fiery set-up/punchlines and rigid storytelling lines to handily score a 30 over a solid, hitting at times and gritty overall, but clearly overmatched Ms. Hustle.

Verdict: T-Top (W) 3-0

Favorite line: T-Top – “Then you lied and said your lips got the Chinese grip, but your mouth didn’t match her like a Chinese flick!”

Tay Roc defeats Real Sikh

Recap: From URL’s Nome 15 card, Real Sikh keeps things competitive (even edging round 3) throughout, via a bunch of wily similes, fiery punches, righteous darts/personals (esp. in the final round), violent-themed punches and piercing wordplay that all showed he belonged on the big stage. However, steadily utilizing a gang of wicked ethnic-inclined innuendos/personals to go along with a plethora of fiery gun bars, witty barbs, sizzling name flips, searing metaphorical punchlines/personals and flippant, but hitting AMG-mode bars, it’s the slightly more punch-heavy Tay Roc who takes rounds and 1 and 2 for the win.

Verdict: Tay Roc (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Tay Roc – “I don’t wanna hear how ya Glock will spray, you do look like you could make me a chop cheese…the Ocky way!”

Chef Trez defeats Rashaad Tha God

Recap: From The Stage, despite an overall solid and pretty (that ‘Twister’ bar in round 3 was crazy) gritty effort from Rashaad Tha God, opponent Chef Trez uses a barrage of boastful barbs, fiery gun bars, mocking personals, stifling personals, tough street talk and wily punches in each round to score more haymakers and earn a 30.

Verdict: Chef Trez (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Chef Trez – “Behind bars I take everything personal like contraband!”

Nu Jerzey Twork defeats Woosaah

Recap: For the most part, Woosaah and Nu Jerzey Twork were able to engage in a 3-round goodie, keeping it close via plenty of stirring gang talk, fiery gun bars, brash punchlines, wily personals and piercing wordplay. However, after the two split (had NJT taking round 1 before Woosaah edged the 2nd) the opening rounds, thanks in part to battle league Straight Drop Media failing to do their research on proper room temperate for battle raps, midway through his 3rd a still competitive Woosaah succumbs to the heat, has to stop his round short, slips up when he attempts to restart it before he finally ends his 3rd for good. Those mishaps leave Twork with plenty of room to deliver another punch-heavy turn that combined with some added wit gave Nu Jerooz the round and the win.

Verdict: Nu Jerzey Twork (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Nu Jerzey Twork – “Holes sending through ya shit, I’ll squeeze the shell, you gonna blee as well, you know where you send a nigga named Woosaah? [sighs] deep in hell!”

Coffee Brown defeats Bonnie Godiva

Recap: From Chrome 23, Bonnie Godiva and Coffee Brown engage in a goodie for 3 rounds, with plenty of sizzling gun bars, hard-hitting/wicked/witty personals, flexing trap talk and gritty punchlines to go around. And while she rapped a little bit longer than her opp in each round (and for some strange reason couldn’t get some damn water after several requests before starting her 3rd round), thanks in part to some hardbody late stage theatrics in both her rounds 1 and 2 which led to more haymakers in each and slightly better consistently to her punches, it’s Coffee who takes both of the early rounds for the win before a more steady hitting and condensed Bonnie edged the 3rd.

Verdict: Coffee Brown (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Coffee Brown – “When you look at Bonnie and you look at me, off looks alone I killed her, like how the fuck my name Coffee, but this bitch use all the filter!”

Jerry Wess defeats Cali Smoov

Recap: From WestWorldBattleRap, yeah gotta agree with many of the commenters on this one: considering all the foul language and cuss words often used in battle rap, who’s brilliant idea was it to have all those kids on stage during this 3-rounder between Jerry Wess and Cali Smoov?!? That said, Smoov with his usual emotionally-bent struggle bars, a solid punch game, personals themed around his opponent’s battle career and in this case, also paying homage to the late Billy Boondocks, kept it competitive throughout. However, via a stronger and more consistently-lit punchfest as well as some witty barbs, hitting schemes and some piercing name flips, it’s Mr. Wess to takes rounds 1 and 2 for the win before a slightly more spicy Smoov edged the 3rd to avoid the shutout.

Verdict: Jerry Wess (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Jerry Wess – “How this Mexican gangster?, you been nervous since Trump won!”

Ms. Hustle defeats Real Deal

Recap: From Takeova Battle League, despite Real Deal pulling out every trick in a bag that included brash intellectual punches, hard-hitting/witty personals and even attempting to romance his opp, Ms. Hustle wasn’t having any of it. The Harlem, NY, vet utilizing a gang of fiery gun bars, steely punchlines, flippant name flips, fire flow-changing semantics and a bunch of righteous personals to take rounds 1 and 3 (got Real Deal edging round 2) what with more haymakers to gain the win.

Verdict: Ms. Hustle (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Ms. Hustle – “I’ll run down on this teacher, lift it up and spray, Glock’s extendo’s, all of that in a tray, I mean you used to report cards [click click] this a military grade!”

Anderson Burrus defeats Danny Myers

Recap: From Hunger Gamez, these battle rappers need to quit underestimating the camera guy. Proving once again that he’s got the skills behind the lens and in front of it, here against a versatile spitting and rebuttal-spazzing Danny Myers who surprisingly got less and less competitive as the battle proceeded, a more consistently-lit Anderson Burrus utilizes a steady barrage of witty jokes, flexing punchlines, solid storytelling, boastful barbs and wicked/mocking personals to take rounds 2 and 3 (after a debatable round 1) for the win.

Verdict: Anderson Burrus (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Anderson Burrus – “A parallel does universe does exist, it isn’t science fiction, over there Tupac’s alive and kicking and Kanye makes wise decisions!”

Nu Jerzey Twork defeats Villa

Recap: In this 1-rounder from Street Talk Ent, Nu Jerzey Twork survives a minor slip-up early in his round and utilizes a gang of fiery gun bars, gritty punchlines, fire similes and other bodacious raps to handily beat back a loud and problematic at times, but mostly pedestrian effort from Villa.

Verdict: Nu Jerzey Twork (W) 1-0

Rosenberg Raw defeats Tru Foe

Recap: From Chrome 23, a fiery and dope 3-rounder between Tru Foe and Rosenberg Raw with plenty of hard-hitting street bars, gritty punchlines, rich storytelling and boastful raps from both battlers. However, despite a trio of late surges in each of his elongated rounds to make things slow, with an added mix of piercing wit, noted hometown bars and fierce personals during 3 way more condensed and consistently hitting rounds, it’s a slightly more haymaker-lit Raw who edges rounds 1 and 2 for the win, before Foe with the help of a couple of nice rebuttals, made the 3rd debatable even in light of yet another long-winded turn.

Verdict: Rosenberg Raw (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Rosenberg Raw – “What made you think you got the credentials to come and box the champ?, you had one fucking good year in your career, you Rashad McCants!”

Chilla Jones defeats Aye Verb

Recap: Steady dishing a flexing assortment of fiery name flips (esp. in round 2, where he flipped the ‘Island Verb’ moniker to blazing effect), wily personals, hitting schemes and graphic/violence-induced punches, outside of a close 3 where opponent Aye Verb upped the ante when it came to witty personals, Chilla Jones handily beats back his mostly pedestrian opponent to earn the 30 in this 3-rounder from Takeova Battle League.

Verdict: Chilla Jones (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Chilla Jones – “This amazing, and I have my reservations like a private dinner, but now I got a reality check for the Island…I’m a Survivor winner!”

Recap: From Street Talk Ent, against an elongated Serius Jones mired in way too many subpar punches throughout and only really scoring here and there when he went for the witty personals and fat jokes, a much more condensed and hitting Marv Won uses a variety of solid name flips, brash punchlines, wily personals and piercing street darts to earn a 30 in a 3-rounder between two longtime battle vets.

Verdict: Marv Won (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Marv Won – “Nigga, I smoked Ars now you, nigga I’m hanging up Jersey everywhere, nigga this the farewell tour!”

Nu Jerzey Twork defeats Mr. Mann

Recap: From Gates of the Garden, despite an elongated turn in this 1-rounder, a plethora of brash raps (and even a little wit here and there) from Mr. Mann makes for a solid effort. But way too many pedestrian bars and mundane pontificating from the Brooklyn battler coupled with Nu Jerzey Twork standing on ten toes throughout via a gang of sizzling name flips, flexing punchlines, piercing personals, stinging street darts, wily schemes and other boastful barbs gives Nu Jerooz an easy win.

Verdict: Nu Jerzey Twork (W) 1-0

Recap: From Don’t Flop Entertainment, against the witty stylings, syrupy name flips and wily jokes from British battle rapper Sean Kray, Coffee Brown still has an easy time of it. The performance-lit Cali battler using a litany of persuasive sexual themes, hard-hitting personals, witty barbs, stinging gun bars and gritty punchlines to overmatch her opponent and handily take all 3 rounds for the win.

Verdict: Coffee Brown (W) 3-0

Recap: In what was at times a pretty tense 1-rounder from CMC Battle League, Tay Roc’s aggressive variant of sturdy gun bars, festive name flips, gritty punches and wicked personals proved to be more than enough to beat back a brash and pretty solid, but elongated and way too pedestrian at times effort from ATS Reck.

Verdict: Tay Roc (W) 1-0

Favorite line: Tay Roc – “My next decision, mask up less suspicion, I’m a stab ya, iron Dagger from Western Britain, buck-fifty, flesh is ripping, neck is dripping, cut him to the white meat, shit look like shredded chicken!”

T-Top defeats Foet Dev

Recap: From West World Battle Rap, a bunch of aggressive punches by Foet Dev keeps things competitive in this 1-rounder. But one too many pedestrian bars from Dev coupled with opponent T-Top’s versatile array of wicked set-up/punchlines, stirring name flips/metaphors, witty barbs and spirited trap talk hands the Bear an easy win.

Verdict: T-Top (W) 1-0

Favorite line: T-Top – “I’ll put money on ya head nigga, don’t ever think that Bizzy picky, I mean the whole band under one name like PrettyRicky!”

Recap: From Street Talk Ent, both P.A.Y.N.E. and Cortez bring an extra pint of hardbody punches, flexing gun bars, piercing name flips and gutsy street bars to this competitive 3-rounder. However it’s the slightly more consistently-lit Cortez, who along with a fiery arsenal of frenetic darts brought with him a bunch of stinging personals, some potent wordplay, righteous heaters and a nice freestyle to start his round 2, who takes rounds 1 and 3 (call the 2nd debatable) for the win.

Verdict: Cortez (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Cortez – “The only pictures of P.A.Y.N.E. [pain] I ever fely was the one’s in the obituary!”

Bigg K defeats Scoop

Recap: A fire 3-rounder from Don’t Flop between Bigg K and British battle rapper Scoop sees the latter keep it competitive through and through with a boatload of righteous darts/personals, graphic/violence-prone heaters and a brash punch-game that lit the scoreboard often. However, already armed with a crazy and slightly more condensed lyrically snapping palette of his own for all 3 rounds, Bigg K’s added mix of witty personals, a dope rebuttal to start his 3rd round, some solid hometown bangers and a shitload of piercing name flips, after a debatable opening round, it’s the faintly more bar heavy K who edges both of the latter rounds for the win.

Verdict: Bigg K (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Bigg K – “This nerd do spoken word, from the soul we see devotion, a gun will make you run, put poetry in motion!”

A. Ward defeats Swamp

Recap: From Only The Real Battle League, sometimes you gotta know your limitations. And one thing’s becoming more and more evident: Swamp ain’t built to be battling so often. Indeed, a recent poor showing against Coffee Brown and now choking in the 3rd here against A. Ward…granted the bills gotta be paid on time and he’s doing the right thing lately in shortening his rounds, but I’m guessing that Swamp is at his best battling say, every other month than every other 2nd or 3rd week like he seems to be doing of late. That said with Swamp unleashing a bunch of brash/witty punches and religion-themed personal disses while Ward fought back with a gang of lucid personals, solid punchlines and fiery rebuttals/freestyles, a debatable round 1 was followed up by a more haymaker-lit Swamp handily taking round 2. However, midway through what was a pretty solid turn Swamp would unexpectedly choke (allegedly to the point of even pulling out his phone) before Ward would allow him to get it back to finish his round. That huge Earl moment, however (the choke itself was cut from the video) long it was, allowed A. Ward sans any stumbles or slip-ups, to deliver another solid, righteous at times and punch-heavy round for the win.

Verdict: A. Ward (W) 2-1

Favorite line: A. Ward – “The Bible says tho shalt not kill, that’s a true fact, Swamp I don’t shoot at people in battles, I shoot back!”
